It's a bit like the Brisbane Courier-Mail deciding not to mention Stuart Broad by name, only referring to him as the "English medium pace bowler".

It's absolutely nothing like the Brisbane Whatever-Whocares deciding not to mention some moron by name, it was a demonstration of the importance of photography to news.

Do you ever read the links? Or would that interfere with your ignorant blather?

It does make for a somewhat interesting case study in the contrast between "having something to say" and "having to say something".

Of course if the things said were in and of themselves moderately interesting.......

Nice town. Been there a couple of times. Watched the Lions play. How 'bout you?

You didn't even know where Brisbane is, and what the Lions are, until you googled it just then.

Your knowledge of the world outside USA and Canada is limited to the fact you know that there is some sort of a world out there, and that there is some sort of large continental southern landmass once known as Terra Australis Incognita. Other than that, it's a case of "Here Be Dragons and Dog-Headed People".

You may fool some mugs, but you don't fool me.

Interesting. Your knowledge of me is as soundly based in fact as your knowledge of. . . well, everything else, really.
