A progressive in (in)action:
No Fracking, We're French Once again, Hollande chooses ideology over prosperity.

One of the smartest things he's done.

Which one? The extra taxation or the ban on fracking?

The tax policy is ludicrous. It is a simple fact that if you give people more money in their pocket they will spend it, which stimulates the economy into growth creating jobs therefore increasing tax revenue even at a lower rate.

Without fracking petrochemicals would be 2-3 times more expensive and NG would be even higher. Done correctly there are no adverse effects so I don't have a problem with it.

Fracking isn't everything poorly done documentaries make it out to be. While it hasn't been fully assessed, I can tell you from hubby's work that typically surface gas issues arise not from the fracking, but from poorly done cement jobs and other shoddy completions work on wells. And that can happen without fracking. Add to that the fact that many areas that have surface gas issues after fracking, ALWAYS had surface gas issues, and it really isn't the devil it's been made out to be.
