One of the worst stories you’ll read about this holiday season happened on Sunday in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Fort Bragg Staff-Sgt. Keith Lewis, 31, allegedly shot and killed his pregnant wife, before shooting himself. His wife, Sarah Lewis, 34, was due on Christmas Day.
The violence unfolded while the couple’s three-year-old daughter was in their home with them, according to the Army Times.
Keith Lewis died on the scene while Sarah Lewis and her unborn child died at hospital, according to the report.
“It’s a complete shock,” Tammy De Mirza, Sarah Lewis’s aunt, told WRAL. “It’s like a horror movie”
“She was vivacious and fun and lighthearted and easygoing and really had a heart to be of service,” she added.
The Fayetteville Observer reported police had been called to the home in 2016 on a domestic dispute call but no charges were filed at the time.
