Ford, Kissinger, & East Timor

While many on this forum have selectively criticized certain peoples for alleged crimes against other nations, they have overlooked the fact that Ford and Kissinger gave hearty approval to criminal fascist Suharto as he invaded East Timor with impunity:

His pardoning of Nixon for trying to usurp the government was, as far as most Yanks would say, a crime in itself.

Again I agree with you, but in his death, there is no justice gopher, only the passing of history.

Hillary or McCain will pardon Bush. It's all par for the course.

I do suppose that is true. But what I don't like is to see people praising those who openly support fascist genocide and call such a collaborator a "nice guy" as so many are doing in the US today. Here is Ford dining with the world's most tyrannical dictator and imperialist:

Imagine Churchill dining and praising Hitler -- he would have been scorned beyond words. Here is Ford doing a modern day equivalent of such a moral lapse. Like it or not, this is unforgiveable.
