Nigel Lawson, the British Chancellor of the Exchequer (Finance Minister) in the Thatcher Administration from 1983 to 1989, has died at the age of 91.

Lawson was the father of celebrity TV chef Nigella Lawson and the journalist Dominic Lawson.

Our current Tory PM Rishi Sunak has paid tribute to Lawson, revealing that he has a photograph of Lawson on his desk at 10 Downing Street.

He's died almost exactly 10 years after Thatcher. She died in London's Ritz Hotel of a stroke on 8th April 2013 aged 87.
