I find many of the arguments against the Israelis bombing the daylights out of Hezbollah which has caused damage in southern Lebanon to be most ridiculous. Those who argue against the Israelis and their use of military might to take on Hezbollah remind me of many liberal socialist apologists who speak about WWII. Many such individuals have argued with me about the Allies and their destruction of German cities such as Dresden during WWII. I have seen such liberal socialist MOFOs pen articles about how evil the Allies were for bombing Germany back to the Stone Age. Nary a word was mentioned regarding the fact Germany was the first to bomb civilian targets. I would know because my family was living in Great Britain at the time. The Germans hit London first, reducing it to utter rubble. They hit other British cities. The British responded by hitting Berlin. Later, as the Americans finally got over their cowardice the Allies began to hit other German cities just as the Nazis had done to my people in Britain. Liberal socialist MOFOs tend to forget the Battle of Britain which as the turning point in the war. The Nazis were out to destroy our RAF in the hopes of wiping us from our own skies. The plan was to prepare for the invasion of Britain by Nazi forces a la Napoleon. Do not blame the British for the fact the Nazis were so stupid they forgot about the British Navy which would render any chance of an invasion of Britain by Nazi assault forces impossible.

I would ask you lefties why do you idiots deem it acceptable for the Nazis to bomb our cities to nothing more than rubble yet when we returned the favour Bomber Harris is called a murderer? I fail to understand your logic. Did your fucking parents see the Messerschmidts flying over their cities to the point they could see the German iron cross on the sides of their fuselages? My grandparents could to the poin my grandfather told me he could read the fucking serial numbers of the attacking bombers. If your family has never experienced seeing their homeland reduced to rubble I would therefore ask such people to shut the fuck up.

Who said I was from Great Britain? I know I never did. It is you who makes such a claim. Not in a single post did I state that I was British although technically I am but I do not wish to point out semantics. Both of my parents were born in Great Britain. As a result that makes me British in as much as those Lebanese who were born to Lebanese parents may also call themselves Lebanese. Tell me, why is it alright for those who do not come from white countries to call themselves Lebanese-Canadians but it is not alright for me to call myself British-Canadian? Would it have anything to do with the fact my people founded Canada at a time when Arabs had not a clue what a Canada was? My people founded Canada at a time when Lebanese were nothing more than Bedouins running around with their camels looking for little ponds that were not mirages? According to my passport I am indeed British thanks to dual citizenship. I am also first-generation Canadian since I was born in this country. That makes me 100% Canadian. I do not even think about the British aspect of my heritage until yeehaws like yourself raise your voices in protest regarding my knowledge of both world wars. My family was there. There is a rather large difference from one who derives his knowledge of history from liberal-augmented texts rather than from one who actually witnessed said history like my family members.

Let us never forget Lebanon was another British territory thanks to our smackdown of the Ottoman Empire of which Lebanon was a part. Once we kicked the Ottoman in the balls we handed Lebanon over to the French. I find it interesting that the modern-day Lebanese had no problems living under Ottoman, British and French rule but lord have mercy if ever either Israel or Syria gains control! Lebanon has never been a free country until recently thanks to the British delivering the ball-busting bitch-making takedown of the 'powerful' Ottoman Empire. The world owes much to Great Britain and the world would do well never to forget it.

nah, not at all

and I'll have you know my grandfather fought in a spitfire during the battle of Britain, my great-uncle fought in Burma, travelling to Japan after the war and then signing up for service in korea....dont tell me I just read about it in text books, infact I just helped my great-uncle recieve his Burma Star, service and home guard medals from the government after all these years.

I ALSO have a british passport, it ALSO gives me the right to live and work in Canada thru my work permit, I do not need a history lesson concerning the british empire. I just feel that people like you, much like Americans who bang on about the "evil british"...for differing reasons, seem to think Britain was rich and all powerful....when infact the truth was very different, it wasnt perfect, we ruined lives, murdered millions..all the while most people in Britain were VERY poor, far poorer than those in the colonies.

The British were evil? How so? We educated the entire planet. What is it we did that was so evil? We murdered millions? Bwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaa. You are most certainly not British because such tales are untruth. The British were not the evil empire non-white countries make them out to be. Why is it for centuries only non-white countries said we were evil yet they were not even our foes? Our foes were the French, Dutch, Spanish, Portugese etc. They never once considered us evil. The only reason those countries fought us would lie with the fact we were jockeying for world supremacy. All other nations were completely irrelevant.

I bet you watched the Patriot with Mel Gibson and actually believe British soldiers locked Americans inside churches and then burned those churches to the ground? Bwaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhaaaa. Guess who invented the execution of commanders? The Americans. Guess who invented guerilla warfare? The Americans. The British never touched an enemy general because to do so was dishonourable. The British throughout history have been the most honourable people on the face of this earth. I would ask that you give me examples of our 'murderous' ways. Never happened.

1. Internment camps in South Africa.
Last time I checked every nation at war with another has sported
internment camps. It was war.

2. Black Hole of Calcutta
The Black Hole of Calcutta was a small dungeon where
troops of the Nawab of Bengal held British prisoners of war
after the capture of Fort William on June 20, 1756. According to
an account by a survivor, 123 of 146 prisoners died of heat
exhaustion in the confined conditions.

This story was recounted by the survivor John Zephaniah
Holwell, and soon became the basis for representing Indians
as a base, cowardly, and despotic people.
What does Britain have to do with this? It is an Indian episode.

3. The Slave Trade
Every country participated in this. Every nation-state has in its
history slavery. Interesting that it was the British who abolished
slavery and used her might to force the rest of the world to
follow suit. The Americans abolished slavery under British military
threats. Why have you singled out Great Britain? Why should
Great Britain allow herself to be threatened by cheap labour as
used by her economic opponents? This is an island nation
remember? She can easily be starved into submission by the
destruction of her economic might. Every single nation in its
history has had slavery at one time or another. Why are you
singling out the British?

4. Indentured Servants (not Slavery).
An indentured servant is a labourer under contract
(an indenture--explained below) to work (for a specified amount
of time) for another person or a company/corporation, often
without any monetary pay, but in exchange for
accommodation, food, other essentials, training, or passage to a
new country. After working for the term of the contract
(traditionally seven years) the servant was then free to farm or
take up trade of his own
. The term comes from the medieval
English "indenture of retainer" — a contract written in duplicate
on the same sheet, with the copies separated by cutting along a
jagged (toothed, hence the term "indenture") line so that the
teeth of the two parts could later be refitted to confirm
authenticity. They were also used to make the labour-intensive
cash crop tobacco in the 17th century.

It was the legal basis of the apprenticeship system by which
skilled trades were learned
.

Indentured servitude is not identical with slavery.

You would those who paid the way for indentured servants to
absorb all costs? Indentured servitude was nothing more than
a means by which people could repay their debts because they
did not have the cash. Thus they were not forced to do
this. It is no different from today's sports stars who sign
contracts with payments to be earned by their playing for a
sports team.

Please take care in future not to insult the history of my people by posting lies. As you can see above nothing the British did was ever wrong.

The alphabet of the English language is Latin but of course. What is your point? Great Britain did not exist as yet so my original contention stands - we educated the planet.

You are Lebanese. Why are you typing in English?
