Ok now, I'm now at 2 choice : Telus or Rogers (i'm in montreal). How's the coverage quality in the montreal region (for those who are in mtl...) ?

I've "heard" bad things about the Rogers+Fido coverage... bad reception, bad qyality, the phone is always switching network and you loose the call...

I realy don't know what to choose right now, some advice would be cool... i'm mostly concern about the coverage quality, I don't realy mind the phone models...

thanx !

I Have a TELUS Motorola RAZR V3c and want to use to send fax from pocket pc. I dowloaded Mobile Phone Tools 5 Pro (BVRP) but it seems to be only for GSM network. I could not use fax feature. It was in menu but not activeted, could not be selected. Is ther a work around this or is there a diferent software to fax from PDA through RAZR V3c?

I was wondering if someone could clarify something for me, I see that Bell has a prepaid plan, with a $5/month "unlimited mobile browser" feature, and its unlimited as long as you are in a 1x coverage area, otherwise you only have 100 minutes, my question is, would it be possible to get this service on a sim card or something, and use it in a CDMA module.

I'm building my own cellular tracking device for a college project. Pretty much I need to know if the internet capabilities are subsiquent to software on the cellphone, or is the cellphone's hardware always connect to the internet?

Because I have limited capabilities as to what is possible with the CDMA module, I can only issue it AT (and Extended AT) commands from a microcontroller, one of which allows me to issue the CDMA module a internet url, it then replies with the html, so all I want to do is to issue the CDMA module a url with gps co-ordinates in it, like http://www.whatever.com/locate.php?lat=44.95&long=130.89, and I'm not worried about the prices of data since the tracking device wont be leaving the 1x coverage area.

I dont know if I have explained what I'm trying to do very well, but I hope someone understands and can clarify this for me.

Thanks.

RE: Fido vs. Telus/Clearn

Fido sucks. The coverage is horrible even in Vancouver. I don't know much about Telus, but I know others who use it and they seem to get coverage just fine.

Telus = Terrible

Everything about Telus is terrible - customer service, reception, customer loyalty, etc, etc, etc. One piece of advice for anyone out there - avoid TELUS!! I wish I had.
