Federal judge invalidates mandate in Affordable Care Act

A federal judge in Pennsylvania today ruled that the Affordable Care Act's mandate is unconstitutional.

In addition, the judge ruled that, because the mandate in the law is integral to the guaranteed issue and pre-existing condition provisions, the mandate by itself is not severable from the law, so all three provisions have to be struck.

The government will likely appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals in Philadelphia.

Chalk up another one against Eric Holder and crew. Half of the new Health care Act has some very questionable facets to it too. I can't wait for that entire law to get reviewed by the Supreme Court. That law was passed by a do nothing Congress who voted for it in spite of the fact they knew littl or nothing about what that law contained.
