A real oldie but a real goodie: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

As a kid I had a huge crush on Jimmy Stewart. I loved Harvey. I'd love my own Pooka.

Fargo was good mrmom, ya? I liked it also. :D

The naked gun movies were funny, Amadeus is one of my all time favorites and I also liked Schindlers List.

My favourite movie of all time is "A Beautiful Mind" because I knew someone very much like Nash and the movie really captured the complexities of a schizophrenic genius.

Usually I like the plain old cops and serial killer movies with a sci-fi or scary monster movie for variation. :) Shell's tastes are much higher brow ... but she hasn't managed to get me to watch anything subtitled yet. We've only been together a few years, so I suppose there's always hope. Between her and Peapod I'm sure I'll be roped into it one day.

I like My favourite would be Terry Gillams 12 monkeys. Nobody can put abstract surrealism into film like him. His time bandits was pretty good too.

There was one other movie I liked as a kid and saw again recently. It was called Cave man. And starred Ringo Starr. Funny movie, and hardly a lick of english spoken in it but by the end you know what everybody is saying. It is B'ish but worth the watch if you're in a funny movie mood.

Just caught The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou last night on DVD and haven't laughed that much during a film in quite a while :) Vintage Bill Murray and even Owen Wilson was tolerable, two thumbs up!

Does anyone of you know the German film
"Pappa ante Portas"?
I'd say that that one is my most favorite - if you ever get the chance to watch it... it's hilarious!! ;)

Yesterday night they showed the original version of
"The Manchurian Candidate" from 1962, starring Frank Sinatra and Angela Lansbury.
That film is really impressive.
I haven't seen the remake with Denzel Washington yet, but I doubt it can top the original picture.

Yet another that I haven't seen. I've missed so much....

YOU haven't see that??? Holy smokes!

It's my smaller sisters favourite, and of course that means I've had to watch that many times.

It.. is...Well it's different let's just say that.
