I hear ya. Their `lovers and other strangers` programe at 9 pm week nights is a one of a kind experience also.
The guy spinning the tunes and doing the talking/quoting between sets is awesome.
(I think he has a thing for Celine Dion, no?);-)

Well, I just turned it on and low-and-behold, it's Don Jackson with Lovers and Other Strangers playing That's the way it is by Celine Dion.

Frosty rocked, Kreskin.

CJOR was awesome, CKNW is still pretty good, what about the other chat stations? Any other good ones in BC?

Aside from a good sportstalk station, MOJO, the talk is getting thinner. Replaced by all news stations, like CKWX. Talk radio in this area hasn't been the same since Frosty retired.

Rafe hasn't been on radio in this area for a decade or so. Bill Good is the go to guy these days. He's pretty good. (no pun intended)

I'm not a music person when listening to radio. I like people talking, and taking calls. I change stations to find the program that interests me. CKNW and others.
I listen to team 1040 quite a bit, for all the hockey chat.

Rafe Mair was OK, but he annoyed me, as he pushed his personal political agenda so hard, it seemed
he was part of any government, as long as it wasn't NDP.

He also talked as though his word was "IT", didn't give much room or respect to callers, unless, of
course they were against NDP.

I like Bill Good, he's fair and flexible, but tough with the ignorant callers.

I loathe repetition when listening to any kind of music. Too much of one style drives me nuts. So, when I do turn on a net radio, CKUA is my choice, since I get saturated by alternative rock and hiphop the rest of the day.
