One one level, I don't really like any of them. High fat, high cholesterol, high salt, high sugar ... I dunno what's in Col. Saunders secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices for KFC, but I think at least the first five ingredients must be salt. It plugs up my arteries, plugs up my bowels, rots my teeth, elevates my blood pressure...

But damn, sometimes all that bad stuff tastes *really* good. Wendy's, Fuddruckers, KFC, Burger King, A&W... I love 'em and hate 'em all.

Want something good? Check out KFC's nutritional information here (.pdf): look at the daily percentage values of sodium. No wonder I'm thirsty all day after eating that crap. How can six hot wings have 111% of your daily intake of sodium?

This is their nastiest though, those infamous "famous bowls," where "we start with a generous serving of our creamy mashed potatoes, layered with sweet corn and loaded with bite-sized pieces of crispy chicken. Then we drizzle it all with our signature home-style gravy and top it off with a shredded three-cheese blend. It's all your favorite flavors coming together."

The price? 720 calories, 34 grams of fat (more than 50% of daily intake), 9.5 grams of saturated fat, and 3.5 grams of trans fat, and the capper, 2330 mg of sodium, or 97% of your daily intake, all packed into something that is less than two cups in volume.

CheeBurger Cheeburger

Quality meat, great onion rings and fries. Over 90 shakes to choose from. It all tastes like its homemade. Great stuff! Oh yeah, and I dare anyone to finish their one pound cheeseburger.

I'm a bit like Dexter. I like KFC but I know it has to be bad for me...all that fat and all that salt....the stuff should probably be outlawed.:?:-D

I can hardly afford to eat regular food never mind fast-food at a drivethru or restraurant...

Many moons ago I was a fan of A&W....Teenburger with ConeyFries and a Swamp water...

Bet very few folk here at CC remember either ConeyFries or Swampwater...:)

Swamp water, as in every type of pop they have mixed in one cup? Tastes great as a kid.

I worked dowtown Toronto for ten years and really got to love falafals and souvlaki. Extra garlic sauce. Even had one place, Raffles Burger, that had special galic sauce under the counter with chunks of garlic in it. Had to plan that meal around the wife's monthly or I'd never get any. That stuff comes out of your pores for days.:grommit:

A&W used to be good till they went with the McD type burger patties. Now I can't tell much diff between Wendy's, BK, McD's, and A&W. Probably the different sauces.
Can't get much into felafel ( I call it felAWFUL), but I like souvlaki, avgolemono, fasulatha, tzatziki, spanikopeta, kotopeta, dolmathes avgolemono, etc. But I especially like uvetsi and kalamari and kalamarakia. Ah, hell, I just like Greek food unless it has mutton in it.AvgolemonoAvgolemono

When I was pregnant with Critter I was alone. I had just found my real Dad and my Step Monster wasnt happy I was there in the first place. I had no home so Dad put me up in the Garage (he owned a parking lot sweeping business) My Step refused to have me in the house. Well the complex (you know the ones in the industrial part of town.....rows of Garages with lil offices) was directly accross the street from an old fasion "roach coach" It had the biggest, best burrito's a pregnant girl could crave for LOL Big chunks of meat and beans with a sauce that was to die for. I ate there my whole pregnancy. Guess what its name was........Tam's number 4 LOL
