MHZ: I appreciate your effort in calculating the details. I think Jesus may very well mess with time on that great day. Bet the clock doesn't hold him hostage.
When you know how eternity ends you don't need a clock. We are the ones that are slaves to time.

Ge:6:3:
And the LORD said,
My spirit shall not always strive with man,
for that he also is flesh:
yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Heb:9:27:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
but after this the judgment:

So, yes or no- do you believe that SATAN inspired the Mormon Faith?
you made the claim

No wish washy. For what its worth- Call it.
Hunboldt: I believe all deceit comes from Satan. However, be certain that I make no claim on the salvation of any individual, Mormon or otherwise. We shall see a host of different denominations in heaven. Strictly my opinion here - I think that is God's way of sticking his thumb in the eye of legalists that demand we believe a certain way. It is by faith alone in Christ we are saved. No works. No following the orders of a religious group. The following is from Galatians:

No Other Gospel
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

MHZ: I think we mostly agree. I'll keep my watch at home should Jesus come in my lifetime.

I.

I appreciate your zeal. Catholic American writers of the prev. century were rather 'accepting' of the Mormon faith. They recognised that Smith had taken stands against some real evils- rapacious exploitation, SLAVERY, etc., where other faiths were remiss.

The hue and cry over bigamy was a red herring. Smith was murdered for openly condemning Slavery in America.
Before it was fashionable.

Yeah, he had visions. we just leave it at that.

WE also respect the JW's for their relentless stand against Fascism . Post 1945, a number of Catholic national churches ( Croatia) were taken under 'direct Apostolic supervision'.

I do not attempt here to judge individuals. Rather, I am speaking about doctrine - the contents of Scripture & Texts. No intention is made to condemn a person. Clearly, there have been many people from all different denominations/religions that have "fought the good fight" and have chosen to do what is noble and just. That I do not argue. I am speaking strictly as delineating beliefs/aspects of a faith as declared by said groups. Should we (mormons, catholics, protestants, everyone etc.) ask what is the Apostle Paul saying here, ".. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— ". What does this mean? What gospel? What other gospel? Now there are some that will say, well you can stick this gospel and that gospel up your nose, I don't care about it, the bible is a junker!" So be it for them. The natural order of debate is to discuss content and context.

Take humanity as one group and divide them into two groups, the smallest group would be those that qualify for Re:20:4, being alive for the 1,000 years. The larger group comes alive at judgment day and using the right verses that means judgment Day is 1,000 years long.

1,000 years x 360 days x24 hours x 60 minutes / number who come alive at the GWT = introduction time limit. 0.0589090909090909 minutes, it will probably seem like a longer time when a person is right there. (I had it as couples so the time is 1/2, this for each person) 6.66B people and 1/3 live so 2/3 die or 4.4B and that is the number that will be before God at the GWT so that many need to be interviewed by God alone and time for that 'day' can be given in minutes.

There is one tiny little problem with all that. Revelations has never been verified as a valid source of information and should NEVER be quoted to substantiate an idea. It's what we learned in grade school as being a false premise. -:)
