While I think the practice is barbaric and way over the top, what must a person be like
to throw acid in someone Else's face? No I believe revenge is not justice its revenge.
At the same time good Christians should not be throwing stones as it were. They had
punishments that included stoning, hanging, beheading, burning at the stake, drowning
while the person was bound and even at times impaled on a stake.
It was not so much the religion as it was the times and lack of education and there were
not the social norms. Today in the Middle East, the citizens are more tribal than they are
societal. Don't forget it was only a little over a hundred years ago that in North America
we charged people to go to the public hangings in the old west, like it was entertainment.
Again, as I keep saying, if we develop a society based on economic growth and a
middle class, many of these problems would become part of past history.
China is an example of sorts, while they are still backward in many areas, the types of
cultural revolution activities have faded away into something resembling stability. While
they are under a repressive regime, the mindset of the people, is different than it was
forty years ago.
Trial by ordeal, eye for an eye and automatic execution are really barbaric systems of out
right revenge rather than justice.

My intelligence is not in question, yours is, and I'm not angry at all. Just pointing out how "stupid" and obviously incapable you are when it comes to using someones words against them.

You're not being specific, just being an annoying arrogant douche.
I'll be honest though I didn't read his post thoroughly...kinda just skimmed it over really quick..

I'd put it a lot less than a century...... but even still, in the big scheme of things, the time line is a drop in the bucket.
Gerry

When you consider that many are kept in perpetual bondage is the nearest term thru lack of education - Religion with strict punishments - Where Leading Arabs of various nations condemned their own Govts for what i have mentioned - It is more than a century of difference for some - Closer to the 12th-13th century for many - The younger generation's in these countries, many are ripe for change - peaceful or violent - Look to Iran for one example of a huge younger population that is ripe for this along with Saudi Arabia.

Typical of those with limited mental capacity trying to "look" smart. You lose.

You can not be honest - I have proven that already - You lie like a rug. A cheap rug at that. Your rug of morals and character is thread bare, woven with hate and prejudice and only you believe it.

In many Arab countries where a mans word is his bond, where good character is respected you would be an outcast.
