indeed, there's a program called "world at war" over here, filmed in the70's, it's got interviews with everyone, Rommel's son, Hitler's Architect himself, if you get a chance I'd tract that down, his son explaines a lot, he was very noble man

That would be great if you could give me the title. Also Rommel was a very noble man.

One of my heroes. If he had been made leader of Germany after Hitler's assisination the war may have gone on even longer with a competent military mind at the helm not a raving psychopath. I think that the allies wanted unconditional surrender to counter exactly that cindition. A sensible man to deal with could have made it difficult to rein in Germany.
