Republic of Ireland 0-2 England
Aviva Stadium, Dublin
Attendance: 50,359
England have beaten neighbours Republic of Ireland in a British Isles derby in Europe's Nations League in their first game since their defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 Final.
The match was ex-Republic of Ireland player Lee Carsley's first as new England manager.
Despite playing on home turf, the Irish were no match for one of the world's best teams.
In fact, they have never beaten England in Dublin.
Both of England's goalscorers played for the Republic in their youth - although they were both born in England. The Irish fans jeered as their two former players scored against them for their local rivals.
