Under-21 Euro 2023 final

England 1-0 Spain

Jones 45+4

Adjarabet Arena, Batumi, Georgia

England's Under-21s side are the European Champions for the third time after winning Euro 2023 by beating Spain 1-0 in the final yesterday.

England went through the entire tournament without conceding a single goal and their opponents Spain were the tournament's top scorers.

Curtis Jones scored England's winner in first half stoppage time.

However, the real drama came EIGHT MINUTES into stoppage time at the end of the match when England goalkeeper James Trafford pulled off a double save to deny Spain a late equaliser from a penalty. The equaliser would have forced 30 minutes of extra time but Trafford was the English hero as his double save sparked wild celebrations among his teammates and England fans.

It is the third time England Under-21s have won the Euros.
