Enbridge is again in trouble for another oil spill

Do we really want this company building a pipeline over our beautiful Rocky Mountains and down to the waters in B.C.? How many "accidents" can they have before people open their eyes (by that I mean our government) and see the serious potential of a serious leak out west.

I understand we need oil, however we are building more pipelines, wells and I think we need to focus more on alternative energy..

What do you mean, "Like what?" Do you not know what alternative energy is...

Using natural gas you can make hydrogen - in Europe hydrogen cars have become very popular and are clean burning and cheap to run.. no polition.. natural gas is in huge abundance here in western Canada..

Here's an ugly thought, thirty years from now the pipelines being considered today will still be pumping oil if we continue to let them be built. Anyone out there think that Enbridge is still going to be around by then? I don't think so, so that gives the new owners the ability to say the technology has changed. We are much better at this than we were then and besides we didn't build it. Our kids and grandkids are going to be dealing with these leaks and spills, and they are going to say We didn't allow this to happen, it was them old farts, meantime the environment just gets more and more polluted and all we can do anymore is roll over in our graves.

I agree it is time to be sensible about our choices. It is time to say no to expanding the export of our oil resources until it is all gone, and it is time tofind the alternatives that will work for us.

I'm 100% against the pipeline - but I can be bought.
