I think most phones have lithium batteries now. I think EVs batteries would be a tad bigger.

They probably are. Phones also catch fire. From my reading, it appears most are caused by aftermarket chargers. Most of the info I get on this is from fire department sites.

I know Samsung Galaxy 7s are banned from airplanes and I think they did a full recall on them. They caught on fire alot even when not charging.
