dude, get a flick account, it's free. I am lucky that I live in Toronto and there is a lot of photo opportunities. But, if I was in your location, I would be snapping up some sweet sunrise/sunset photos, no light pollution out your way.

it's pretty easy
set your camera to auto bracketing:
-2 0 +2
take 3-9 shots
Use photoshop or photomatix, combine into hdr
I'm a little busy to go out and take pics and well , waiting for more picturesque weather too :roll:
get some moon-star shots if you can. In Toronto, due to light pollution you can barely see the stars and moon, the sky ends up a redish tinge
Geez well here I can see the borealis when there is one. We have the Megantic observatory near by so there has been light polution bylaws for the region.
