did these pretentious retards even get a slow-clap?

Loc, no matter how you feel about the tenors, don't tar them all with the same brush. I watched the All Star game - I was just as pissed as everyone else but I also saw the looks on the other tenors faces and they ranged from WTF to outright anger.

Remigio Pereira took full responsibility - he was the only tenor who sang the offending lyrics - and was promptly fired.

He'll find another job.

Or maybe not..............he was just dismissed as a participant at a festival in St Catherines.

"Due to circumstances surrounding Remigio Pereira’s anthem-altering incident last week, he will no longer be performing at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre,” the venue said in a statement issued Friday afternoon."

A real A$$hole for sure! How can one man (using the word loosely) take it upon himself to desecrate our National Anthem? And then he has the audacity to try to explain his way out of it! A real third rate loser for sure! He's not fit to sing "Happy Birthday" at a toddler's birthday party!

Frankly I had never heard of these guys before (and I'm sure most of you hadn't either) and now they are a household name. Controversy has always been a good way to advertise.

O Canada is a brassy uninspiring national anthem. It can't be interpreted or nuanced like the Star Spangled Banner. The only way to play it is at full horn. I always cringe a bit when i hear it. We have a far more flexible and endearing tune in the Maple Leaf Forever. It requires some change to the lyrics as well. But then again i'd change our flag as well, which is really the textile expression of O Canada.
