Assange out of extradition reach at Ecuador embassy - World - CBC News

Some believe he sincerely believes that Sweden would send him to the US.

Assange does not come across to me as being so stupid as to sincerely believe that (though I could be wrong). Sweden wants him for something totally unrelated to the issue with the US. I'm sure too that Sweden would not hand him over to the US without the US first proving within that he did indeed violate US law on US soil or that it wil give him a fair trial according to the strictest rules.

I'm more inclined to believe Assange is just scared of the outcome of the rape trial.

If he really is innocent of the accusations, he should be a man, go there and face his accusers head on!

I know there has been speculation in the past taht the US may have paid the women to make such comments. I have a hard time believing that too since the moment a woman snaps and tells the truth about someone having paid her for the confession, the US would be the first suspect, and the CIA, though not too bright, is not so stupid as to risk that either.

All i can see is Assange is scared of the rape trial itself, case closed. Be a man Assange and face your accusers if you're innocent, 'cause this running all the time is not helping your case.

This has what to do with environment?

This has happened to nme before. It was supposed to be:

"Assange out of extradition reach at Ecuador embassy"

It obviously autopopulated to a previous thread title. I'ts been doing that lately and it's bloody frustrating.

Assange is a creep and delusional. It's Sweden requesting his extradition not North Korea for Christs sake.

You might be able to edit it in Advanced Options.

Won't let me do that.

He'd be better to face the music if he wants any sort of a life at all. Once you start running, it paints a picture of guilt and there's no going back

I agree. Even if he is innocent, the amount of effort he's putting into avoiding the Swedish authorities makes him look guilty in the eyes of the public.

And if he sincerely believes Sweden would just turn him over to the US without first ensuring a completely fair trial makes him look stupid.

Guilty or stupid, take your pick.

If he were really smart, he'd go to Sweden pronto to face the music. Add to that taht even if he isinnocent, would he not want to set the record straight?
