You can't go too far wrong if you just follow the two second rule. If you stay two seconds behind the vehicle ahead of you at what ever speed you are traveling you won't get in too much trouble. At sixty miles an hour you are going 88 feet per second. In two seconds you would travel 176 feet. A little common sense won't hurt either...;-)

I prefer three seconds myself, but for some reason it seems to p*ss off the drivers behind me. :lol::lol::lol:
