Bill is a political entertainer who has his views like anyone else, and as such has a right
to speak his peace. I don't agree with everything he has to say but I like his programs.
Bill is not shy about pointing out the faults of the political right, and sometimes he even
attacks the left when they get carried away. People have to understand,
For those obsessed with pointing fingers there is another one of those one of a kind
folks. Rush in all his splendor is a right wing political entertainer. Are we to call him names
too? Of course we are. They are what they are, there is both truth and fiction in both
messages and designed to upset people both are doing a fine job by the look of it.
and if people were serious about changing things or about becoming seriously involved
with changing the status quo, neither of these two would even be noticed.

I found this today so I thought I would post it. Its not long, but it says a lot about how he views himself.

I think the bolded parts summarize my view of the whole religious right vs Maher debate. Maher is a comedian and satirist, Limbaugh is a political commentator. Dennis Miller can do the same thing if he wants and I'll laugh at his lines too (I used to love Miller, I just never see him anymore).

Religious Right vs Maher? Oh brother.

Clearly there is a double standard and lets not pretend comedians can say whatever they want and get a pass. Just look at what happened to Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) when he called a heckler a N*****.

Double Standards and Political Correctness.

How often in here has Rush been called a simple entertainer or that nobody listens to him. There goes that theory.

I doubt it matters to him. He's not a Democrat afterall. I like him, though I don't agree with a some of what he says.

This is a point we have gone over on this forum many times but some right wingers just don't pay attention and show how ignorant they are. Nothing worse than willful blindness.

David had more pressing business. He had a meeting with Barney Frank in the Congressional Lavatory at the same time.
