It should be obvious that ISIS wanted war with the US because the US can't defeat ISIS. The US has neither the heart to do what is necessary to achieve victory nor the will to stay the course. America allowed itself to be provoked into attacking an enemy that knows it can defeat the US. It would have been better if America had done nothing.
