Defeat Insurgency By Its Own Lethal Weapon

Defeat Insurgency By Its Own Lethal Weapon

The Iraqi government should immediately pass a law directing drivers that when they park their vehicles, either the driver of the vehicle or at least one other person must be sitting in the front seat of the parked car. No standing or parked vehicle will be unoccupied. A vehicle that was abandoned by its driver and occupants would immediately be seen by nearby commuters and would instantly trigger their quick distancing from it, as they will consider it to be, more likely than not, a car bomb...

The major flaw in your theory is that the majority of car bombs are driven by suicide bombers.

Ok......lets get this stright, you would rather have Iraqis blowen up then to keep them safe?

Lets play that game here in Canada, so maybe your stonch liberal mind can bend to see a completly reasonable idea.

Terrosit start creating car bombs in Canada, Canadians become victims.

A Lady and her kids go inside wal-mart leaving the Mini-van behind. a terrorist straps some C4 and a detonater to the van, the lady and her childern go to the car. Car starts up no problem, they begind to drive towards the exit on a busy sidewalk.....Boom. the bomb is detonated. That happens 6 times across canada in one day. The next week a mixture of suicide bombers and car bombs hit Canada.

Wouldnt you not wave some freedom....the fantasic freedom of leaving your car alone in public areas  to possibly save innocent lives? or would you like youa re now say, hey its not me its not my problem i want to be able to park my car at Seven 11, unatended so i can go get a big gulp and a twinki.

Is this Idea a completely bad idea no its not, its reasonable, its cuts of the means of a useful weapon to Insurgents who want to kill innocent people.

Id like you to tlel me what you think freedom is exactly.

Not true, Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) are becoming less and less common in Iraq. The insurgents have turned towards simply IEDs burried on the side of the road or in parked cars. Two reasons for this:

1. They don't lose a life attempting to blow up the IED

2. They can remote detonate from a distance

While yes VBIEDs are still around, there has been a massive shift towards IEDs and RCIEDS. They're more effective, less costly (on life, thereby leaving others to fight another day), and very sudden. Couple that with the fact that U.S. Forces in Iraq have started to design ways to defend against VBIEDs and the course of action speaks for itself really.
