a cycle of violence

Daniel Pearl.

Anyway:

What cycle of violence was he a part of? Being an innocent guy who was kidnapped, tortured and murdered?

Well its a cycle in that it happened before and happened again afterwards. Its not the safest place for journalists to be poking around and hasnt been for a long time. But that doesnt stop the good ones.

I can understand why Power would collect flak over a comment like that. I can also understand what she meant by a "cycle of violence". What baffles me is who those people think they were fooling with the comment that they thought he was a spy and then admitting later he was a journalist. Why even make up an excuse in the first place?

There is an endless cycle of violence in the Middle East and it won't end anytime soon
the problem the radicals have is, Pearl was actually putting their cause forward but the
Tribesmen and that is what they are didn't figure out he was better alive than dead so
they killed him. Shows how dumb they really are but yes it is a part of an endless
cycle of violence

i remember when he went missing, the waiting, then the news that he was murdured. those journalists

certainly put their lives on the line, the area was very dangerous, but it was also a very sad story,

as his wife was carrying their child, which of course he never saw.

And at present the tribes in Balochistan Province are attacking the Chinese.
Pakistani courts freed him, what now?
It just continues long past our time
