Under Werid Laws, it did pop up that in Jasper Alabama it is illegal for a man to beat his wife with a stick larger in diameter than his thumb... I perfer this weird law from Alaska, because it really does make sense.... and if you've been to Alaska you can be pretty sure this law came about for practical reasons:

In Fairbanks, it is illegal to feed alcoholic beverages to a moose.
