CONCACAF 2026 World Cup qualifier

Jamaica 0-0 Curaçao

Curaçao, with a population of only 156,000, has become the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup, after a 0-0 draw with Jamaica.

Curaçao, an island in the Caribbean, isn't even a sovereign state: it's part of the Netherlands.

We will see them in North America next summer.

Good Coffee. Decent Rum. Blatant open racism that’s normalized there so only outsiders seem to notice. Europe on one side of a river, and shantytown ghetto on the other. Weird place. This is from a relative who visited 15-20yrs back. Brought me some coffee & rum back.

Have you got any of that rum left? If so, send me some.

That’s 15-20 years ago…& nope.😁

It’s kinda weird, but it seems the further south in that island chain, the sweeter the rum. I prefer the Cuban Rum from the north end of that chain.

Jamaican is still too sweet for me, but getting far enough north to be decent.

I don't drink much rum - I'm more of a beer man - but I'm quite partial to a few glasses of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum on these bone-chillingly cold British winter nights. It certainly helps to warm me up after spending hours working in a freezing cold warehouse.

A few years ago I found an old bottle of Yugoslavian rum in my kitchen cupboard. I live in my grandparents' former house and this Yugoslavian bottle of rum had been standing in the kitchen cupboard since after they got back there from holiday in the Eighties. It was part of an ornate display in the cupboard which has a mainly see-through glass door consisting of fine china teacups displayed strategically as decoration. It's my grandmother's work of art. I've left the china teacups as they are but the bottle of rum has gone. It had a picture of a sailing ship and the label was turning brown. Yugoslavia is a country which hasn't existed since the early 90s. Yet the rum tasted great. I'm not sure what my late grandparents would think of me if they found out in the afterlife that I drank their Yugoslavian rum.

They were obviously smart enough not to drink that crap .
