Hong Cong is very expensive (and it is very crowded), especially the housing. Compared to Hong Cong you will enjoy a much higher standard of living in Canada.

Indeed, if average salary in Canada is around 50k, then you will be making about twice the average. What would be twice the average in Hong Kong? Are you making that much (twice the average of Hong Kong) right now? Don’t compare 90 k in Canada with 90 k in Hong Cong, compare it with twice the average salary in Hong Kong.

Anyway, set your mind at rest. At least moneywise there will be no problem.

I'm sorry but if i lived in Canada i would of course know if it was a good wage but living in Hong Kong it's kinda hard to know what the true cost of living is on the other side of the world.....

well, even being in Canada it can be tough... 'other side of the world' still seems to apply when talking one side of the country to the other. But, without the full story, it did look a bit odd. lol.

As expats we earn many times more than the average local wage in Hong Kong which is the norm here and the only way they can get people to come to Hong Kong.

This is why we wanted to know what is a good wage in Canada as apposed to expecting what we currently earn as we know we will never be able to earn that outside of HK or the Middle East.

We just want to be sure it's the right move and we can have a comfortable life

It's a shame people can't take things at face value.....
