Camilla, the Queen Consort, will not wear a crown featuring the controversial Koh-i-Noor, Buckingham Palace has said.
Instead, she will be crowned with Queen Mary's Crown, which has been taken out of the Tower of London to be resized for the 6th May Coronation.
It is thought to be the first time in "recent history" that an existing crown will be "recycled" for a coronation.
Diamonds from Queen Elizabeth II's jewellery will also be added.
Queen Mary's Crown was made in 1911 for King Charles III's great-grandmother Queen Mary of Teck for her Coronation alongside the Coronation of her husband King George V.
