I had an idea today, and I was wonder if it would be theoretically possible. I was wondering if it is possible to embed a virus into a video file, to be let loose, so to speak once you try to play it. I'm not into malicious stuff like that, and wouldn't know where to start anyway. I thought it would be poetic to embed a virus into a dirty movie, it would just sound funny having someone explain it. I caught a virus from watching a dirty movie, is nothing sacred :). Any ideas? Thanks.

Yeah....that would be funny...into a porno movie, or a credit card application
site, or the links the SPAM'mers post on this Forum for their discount knock
-off handbags & bathtub-viagra...

Computer Virus's are a Pandora's Box, and once unleashed for some sick
bastards sense of humor or whatever the case may be...can & will be used
by that person or some other sick douchebag to inflict harm on the unwary
in other applications, like Anti-Virus software that contains virus's, etc...

People who create computer viruses are just sick, & should be financially
responsible for all costs incurred by anyone that stumbles across their
display of their illness.

Of course there are ways to embed a virus in a video clip. That was done years ago with the ... wasn't one of them called the Katrina virus, or was that only attached to a jpeg image, and by clicking on it, every image in the computer was corrupted. What kind of virus would you like to release ... what consequence would be effective for porn viewers?

First, I said, that I WASN'T into malicious stuff like that, second, I'm not saying it should be done, I'm wondering if it can be done. There's a difference. When I said virus, I didn't mean something that would wreak havoc, just post a message on the screen saying "shame on you". It's funny.

The problem with downloading pirated copies of music using uTorrent, aside from the legal and ethical issues, is that these files are being provided by people who are not above breaking the law. They have proven this by providing you with access to illegal content. This means that you can't report them if they slip a virus onto your computer while you are downloading illegal music from them. While most people who deal in pirated music may not do this, there are a large number of others who will. Using uTorrent to connect to these computers and download pirated music just opens the door for these viruses to make their way onto your computer.
