By a significant margin, the French believe that China has supplanted the US as the most powerful country in the world, according to a survey made public Monday.

Asked by the TNS-Sofres Institute to name the world's most powerful country, nearly half of the respondents said China, while the US was cited by only 34 percent.

Asked to name the country that would be the world's leading power in 20 years, 63 percent said China, 12 percent said India and a mere nine percent cited the US.

The survey was carried out Oct 8-9 with a representative sample of 1,000 men and women of 18 years of age and older.

Well I guess it is true.... with power comes pig headedness.

If China does become the world's leading power, one would hope you guys at least learn from the US's mistakes.

Then again, you guys are kinda following a similar path as the US, such as cutting corners to make a profit..... ie: tainted milk products, tainted toys, tainted animal feed, crappy building construction, massive pollution, poor human rights, poor workers' rights.... etc.

But hey.... it's not all bad, you guys do shine through on a few things better then the US does.... but all I'm saying is that you guys.... in fact nobody is perfect, and unless you guys watch yourselves, you could very well end up as the next empire to fall due to greed.....

..... then who's next in line to be the power?

Then again, in regards to all your products now being put under a microscope, if you guys don't correct those things as well, you can expect many of your products being cut off from export to many other countries due to health concerns and such..... and if it happens on a large scale, kiss your money goodbye and back to the same old same old.
