Exactly one week on from beating Manchester United to win the FA Cup for the seventh time Manchester City beat Inter Milan to win the European Cup and be crowned European Champions for the first time.
City have also won the Premier League and FA Cup this season, becoming the first English team to win the Triple Crown since Manchester United in 1999. Inter Milan have also won the Double this season, but it was the English Champions who prevailed.
After years of dreaming about it, City finally have their hands on the greatest prize in club football, sparking scenes of delirium in the Atatürk Stadium and in Manchester at the final whistle.
