Sure, she may be evil...sure,we may all be mad about it..but,she served her sentenced time.

She served time based on her playing victim to her husband. Crown has stated that had they seen the video tapes BEFORE offering her the deal they would never ever have offered it....

she didn't serve the correct amount of time for the crimes SHE committed.

Let's recap.....she has a degree in psychology...he spent 3 hrs total with her....she was able trick crown prosecutors into believing she was a victim......

She's well on her way to......re-offending again.

Testifying for the defence, Morissette said on a test given to find out whether Homolka has psychopathic tendencies, she scored a five – a very low score. Morissette said most of the people in the courtroom would score at least a one or two.

This is just freaky deaky. If we'd score a 2 and a sadistic rapist who killed her own sister scored a 5. then something is beyong fecked up...and it ain't us.....

She is a low risk to re-offend. No matter what the courts decide, she's going to be watched like a hawk by the media and the cops for the rest of her life.

She should have gotten the same sentence as her hubby, but she played the game well and swung a deal. Now we have to live with that situation. That wasn't a failure of the court system, but of the police and the Crown prosecutors.

It's weird that Carla spent 12yrs for the deaths..sadistic deaths of 3 innocents....and Kelly Ellard has spent 10yrs in custody over the beating death of 1 innocent....strange society we live in.....

Are you sure about this?

Oh ya, I'm sure. It's the closest option to what I believe. I actually believe in responsible anarchy, but that's a whole 'nother thread. :)

As for death penalty not being a deterrent ... well, maybe not the first time but it stops repeat offenders with complete success.

MrMom ... In general, women are less likely to be blamed for serious crimes like rape and serial murder. As a whole, society still has reservations about believing the "fairer" sex has the capabilities. I agree with you, though ... women can be fearsome!

This is a woman that assisted in the death of her own sister.

I think that says everything about what kind of person she is.

They SHOULD have locked her up and thrown away the key. However she got off way too easy because she helped them get her hubby convicted.

I'm glad she has had strict conditions imposed, but I don't think it's enough. I don't think she should have gotten off with 12 years after the horrific crimes she commited.

You guys honestly believe this woman gets to live the rest of her life nice and freely?

Do you have no faith in us?

One of us will get her, the fun comes in deciding which one of us it is. She'll go missing. Oh ya.

Who in the world is going to hire this woman?

"So Miss Holmolka, what have you been doing for the last 12 years?"

"Uhh, I took that Sally Struthers Psychology course. It was hard - yeah me!"

If she is so good at manipulating she could always apply with the Bush administration, although she won't have a job for very long.

You know, you might be onto something with that. "Hey Karla, Iraq or bust, eh?" :D

Her pension for torture may just come in handy!

As it was reported in the papers, she was exchanging undies with another male murderer-so I am doubtful she has reformed one bit. My feeling is that she'll remarry or else, will be on welfare forever.

I t hink she'll probably hook up with some rich old freak who will finance her deranged fantasies. If Linda Tripp can find a rich donar to pay for plastic surgery, Holmoka's possibilities are endless!

Well she didn't turn up dead in jail and she wasn't p.c there.......

There are men out there who pay prostitutes to shit on them (literally) and weirder stuff. We have people making snuff porno's. There's an internet full of kiddie porn. And we think little miss hamolka is going to be a good girl now.........

She'll never have a respectible job. She'l never have a normal life....there are 'film makers" out there just waiting for her release....and they're going to pay her to and she's going to take the money cause she's a freak. She'll soon be starring in the really hardcore porno's. The kind where you have to know somebody who know's somebody to get you a copy.

Hee hee. She was moved this weekend to another pen because of all the death threats she was receiving at the Joliette prison.

She will get her comeuppance.
