"internal trade barriers"????

examples, please?

Too puzzling for you hence the multiple ?????????

Chamber of Commerce - PDF File

afraid of me so you have to try discourage me with snark remarks?

None of those "internal trade barriers" relate to NAFTA and even if any of those, by definition, "internal trade barriers" are anything more than CEO pet peeves two wrongs don't make a right.

I don't fear the narrow minded and the meek. Have a nice day. :D

It used to be that you couldn't sell beer in one province that was produced in another. That has changed but a brewery domiciled in Ontario still needs permission to sell its beer in other provinces from the local liquor commission. And the provinces would trade off, i.e. you allow in this Alberta brewer and we'll let in this Ontario brewer, etc. I don't know if that happens anymore, but it was 10 years ago.

Also, there were certain trades where if you were a tradesman in Ontario you couldn't work in Quebec. But I believe those are being repealed. Said1 has a link to that somewhere.

If you live in Manitoba, you should know all about the restrictions of inter-provincial trade for cigarettes.

There are others that I could find, but I'm lazy and the hocky game's starting soon.

As you've pointed out, America is the wealthiest and the reason America is in the "spotlight" is because the real nature of American greed and lawlessness is out there for the world to see. You're there in the spotlight because the world is finally getting some sense of exactly how corrupt the "Land of the Free" and the Home of the Brave" really is....

Mikey thinks Clint Eastwood movies are documentaries.

so you're telling me the rest of the world was more below average than Canada?

Canada outperformed much of the industrialized world.

for one thing I never said it didn't and more to the point you didn't answer my question.

The USA is pure evil. Evil. Evil. Barricade you doors and windows because the dastardly Americans are going to kill you in your bed tonight after WalMart closes.

Clever line but meaningless. Just walk through a Wal-Mart store. Every piece of junk they sell has no better than a "tail light" warrantee. You don't like the staff? Come back next week, they'll all be new.

Not in our Walmart. Same people every week.

Hey, TORO, don't let these lefties get under your skin. Those of us who actually know something about the US knows what a great country it is. So is Canada, especially now that we actually have a leader.

The US does exist as the whipping boy for those who have no other thoughts but envy. The funny thing is, they have no better solution than to bash the US. No alternatives, except to leave all the dictatorrun countries to the dicatators. Lets see. Bomb the hell out of Quadaffi, he becomes a good boy. Capture Saddam, and Iraq is on the way to democracy. Taking some time, but only good things are worth fighting and waiting for.

In Afghanistan, things are really looking up, reports are finally coming out that the coaliation forces, especially the Canadians, have the Taliban on the run, and they cannot match us face to face.

All in all, good news for the rest of the world, methinks. Get rid of the insane idiots a la bin Laden and Saddam and Quadaffi, and who knows how this world may actually turn out. For the better, IMO.
