You might want to do it from a different IP too. That's what I did when I got banned. I'd been warned by people at another site that these guys took no dissent, so I used a computer someplace else.

All I posted was links...some to news stories, some to opinion columns and, the final straw, one to a science site that explained why BMD doesn't work. They deleted my posts, they banned me, they banned the IP address I was using.

On the bright side, as far as I know I'm still registered as Reverend Blair through this IP there. I've never posted there under that name though.

I am really amazed at this whole sordid thing, I honestly didn't know any such site existed on this side of the border. Awhile back, I was able to sneak onto a private dental forum that is located stateside, and my god you have NEVER seen such rednecks in your entire life.

On the other hand, because you were a dentist - ha ha - you didn't get banned no matter what you said. Just to give you an idea, the abovementioned freedom dominion forum is about as tame as a fluffy white kitten by comparison to the dental forum. Oh, it was nasty. Who knew that under the skin of the benign goofy guy drilling out your teeth beats the heart of a seriously rednecked Bush-lover?

Actually, they remind me of the type of group that would say: "Bring out your knives and pitch forks!" in dealing with anyone who raises human rights issues.

Pretty self-destructive lot: those freedominioners.

I dislike the idea of having to emote a multi-syllabic word whenever somebody ask me where I'm from. Canada can mumbled as two indistinct syllables..."cn-da." If they push for a province I just revert to where I grew up, "skatchun," I say.

I like the idea of the Netherlands, but the idea of somebody coming up to me and asking where I live and having to say Ne-ther-lands seems way to complicated.

now if you had an unofficial and abbreviated mumbling, that'd change everything.

 You take this too seriously! I'd rather move to Canada than stay in the Netherlands ... I'd go for British Columbia, I've heard that's one of the niciest Canadian provinces to live in (correct me if I'm wrong ...)

Well, sure it is, definitely one of the nicest.

Why would you rather move to Canada than stay in the Netherlands? Just curious, because from the vantage of being young, I say you have the right idea to live other places. I wa just wondering if there were particular reasons. I think Europe is very much going to be 'where it's at' in upcoming years.

Well the Netherlands is a very densily populated country - at the moment, the Netherlands has 393 persons per square kilometre (1007 persons per square mile; this population density is in fact not correct, because they also include all rivers, lakes, even the IJsselmeer in this, I've heard the actually population density is around 450 persons per square kilometre), compared to 3.2 persons per square kilometre (8.2 persons per square mile) in Canada. Why is this so important? First of all, I love nature. I'm a real nature guy. But don't expect to find any "real" nature in the Netherlands. As much as 90% or so of all forests in the Netherlands were "constructed" in the last 100 years or so. It's even so that there is not a SINGLE PLACE in the Netherlands where you will not hear cars, people etc. in the distant (that's really true, they did a research about that). And also, because the land is so scarce, the prices of houses are booming. For a small row house you can pay up to 200,000 euros (about 300,000 Canadian dollars), and that doesn't even have to include a nice garden ... It's just suffocating. You know, there are already a lot of Dutch who buy their houses across the border, in Germany or Belgium, because houses are unaffordable... That are some of the reasons why I like the move to Canada. I also don't like the whole atmosphere here anymore, but that's a long story ...
