Yup...once again...that's war for ya...people wanna play war, they are most likely gonna get killed. That's sorta how the whole deal works. What else can I say? This shouldn't be a huge shock to anyone. It's happened before, and guaranteed it will happen MANY, MANY more times between now and the end of eternity, which seems to be how long this war will go on and how long Harper would like to stay involved.
Is there any other way to rest when you are dead? Not much can really disturb you. It's probably the most peaceful rest one can feel.
Ida know, a bunch of armchair generals who don't understand the world getting all righteous and sending you off to die, only to change their mind with popular opinion (out of boredom and following celebrities who need to stand out) to say its a horrible idea and rip you back out, before you could accomplish anything, so you died for nothing, worse than nothing, you die as a villain, branded by the same people who sent you off to die, the public.
That would disturb my sleep.
