There was a special on MTV tonight with one of the hosts leaving and they played her interview with Adam.. but they also played the interview with Kris that she did. Yay! :)

From the way you phrased that it sounds like they played the Kris interview as an afterthought. Not sure what you meant.

I didn't really mean it that way. It's just that MTV here always plays Adam's interview - mainly the part where Jessi splits her pants (She's got a lot of embarrassing moments, and they play them a lot. LOL -- I love her) and I haven't seen the interview with Kris on Tv since it aired here. So it was really nice to see him on MTV. The piece was about Jessi so it wasn't like they focused on the guys.
(Kris isn't in the video below..it's just a promo for the show)

Looking at the pics of the performance at the sub base, I've come to the conclusion that Kris should hardly ever wear long-sleeve button-up shirts onstage. Especially not with faded jeans. It's about presentation. What he wore when I saw him looked great. Long sleeve, slim-fit, striped pullover, with the sleeves pushed up, and dark jeans. It was stylish but really simple. See, I think it's about his movements, also. He moves really well. That outfit highlighted it. When he wears shirts, his movements are obscured. Also, to me, he looks more like a schoolboy rather than a man. There's really not much that's hot about that shirt-and jeans look.

That Slezak interview was really short. Funny how they thought The Truth would be blow up and be even bigger than LLWD.

It's still think it's odd how they did that video when they did - when the song was clearly not going any higher. I mean, it's odd because they must still have been thinking it was going to take off. I guess they even took their time about doing the video because they were apparently certain they had a hit, regardless.

Is it possible that fans might actually be more savvy about what's going on, at any given time, than the record companies? How can they miss what's going on? They're record companies! They're professionals.

TT must have done really well in marketing tests! But I'm guessing it was the original version that they used for the tests

keep voting!

They were thinking Pat could do it, eh? If they'd done it correctly maybe.. but to just shoehorn Pat into the song any which way isn't gonna do it. Fans -- and media aren't dumb.

I agree with you on the shirts.. well sometimes. Some are okay.. but the pull over and t-shirts were better.

Oh, and on the Slezak interview being 2 minutes. Do you think they only actually did only 2 minutes ? -- I'm wondering if he isn't holding stuff back for the return of Idolatry.. or is the new season far away still? 2 minute interview is kinda short given that No Boundaries was unexpected.

OK Magazine interview:

OK! Interview: Kris Allen is Honored by Little Kids Rock | OK! Magazine - The First for Celebrity News

Oh, and on the Slezak interview being 2 minutes. Do you think they only actually did only 2 minutes?

I don't know. It wasn't a sit-down interview with Slezak on camera with Kris, or anything. I was expecting something with a few more questions, though. I think they may have done more than two minutes.

The other band is gaining a bit, in the Sophie's challenge. Are you voting? I wish the voting would end. How long does it go on? Until midnight?

So, vote, already!!

You have a few headlining dates coming up, will you be adding any more?
After the Lifehouse tour, I think we are going to do a bunch of radio stuff, some acoustic stuff. I don’t know where we’re going. I know some of that stuff is already booked. And then maybe write some more more, too.

What kind of an answer is that? lol

LOL. He could definitely self-promote better. But then, when I think about it, I just think he literally doesn't know this stuff, so what can he do? That's part of what I was trying to say, before, about how he must be thrilled to be on a regular tour - where they actually travel in a linear way, and they play with the same other acts most of the time. It must be relatively relaxing and secure.

I think we forget sometimes how confusing or even disorienting it must be to criss-cross the country, fly here and there, drive hither and yon, and play one nighters with different bands and unpredictable audiences, all the time. Which is what he's been doing for over a year. When I try to put myself in his place, I can hardly imagine it.

By the way, that AWM clip Radio Sophie used wasn't all that good a representantion of the song - there were almost no lyrics other than the title!

How did Kris do? He seems to have been ahead but do we have to wait for Monday?

By the way, this reminds me of something I have thought of from time to time. Have you ever wondered if some of these zealous haters we see online spam negative stuff to radio stations? Like, "Please don't play that awful Kris Allen. I can't stand his voice." I have wondered that. I wouldn't be surprised.

So I see Andrew Garcia is doing a few Canadian dates. Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and...I forget where else. I know you guys never liked him much, but I'll bet he's pretty good live.

I see Sleepwalker had its debut on CHUM. And it's trending in the US, currently. Not trending in Canada, but in the US. Where it isn't playing.

Anyhow, congrats to Adam on trending somewhere. Kris's fans had no luck getting AWM to trend in the US, did they? (though I guess it did in individual cities). I notice that they aren't using hashtags to trend Sleepwalker. I've heard that they shouldn't be used, now - that twitter disallows these entries, or something. Have you heard that?

Some hashtags are still trending though. I participated in the #punmangan game that trended in Canada a couple of days ago.

Seriously, if Andrew is doing some dates in Canada (even in Montréal!), there's no reason that Kris can't do some dates in Canada as well!

EXACTLY!!! Grr.

Andrew.. hmph. LOL - I don't know - he might be good live but his musical choices on Idol really turned me off. Which I guess is a harsh way to judge someone, but it's all I've got. He sounded good in the dream house when I saw him play with Alex, but nothing that would entice me to buy an album of his just yet.

So Sleepwalker is now being played on CHUM? I haven't heard it yet. That song just bugs me. I can't help it. I actually really like Adam's album, but that song does nothing for me. I'm sure CHUM will play it a lot though. Maybe it will grow on me when I hear it on the air.

I think the voting on Radio Sophie is still going on... ? I don't know when it ends. I hate voting. But for something like airplay I'll vote.

Alyssa has quite the youtube following. Have you seen the # of views on the videos she posts?

Tweet Josh your fave 3 Idol albums. (Hint: include Kris) :) @joshskinner

David Archuleta -- A Day in the Life | PopEater.com

^Article about Archie and how much he has to do in his workday. The article isn't really as much about that as I hoped it would be. If it was more detailed it would have been more interesting. But it gives you an idea of how much any of our favorites have to do, and take in their stride.

I don't think I'd buy an album by Andrew, especially (he doesn't have one, does he?), but I think he has a good personality and an easy, interesting approach to music, so I think he'd be fun to see/hear in a club. I don't think he was a good Idol contestant, but not everyone is cut out for that. I think he's going to do okay.

You know that's where she gained her fame, right? She was a YouTube phenomenon. Pharrell apparently discovered her off YouTube. So, yeah, that's her main following, probably.

Ever hear of a little group called the Glamberts? If they know about this, I almost see no point in tweeting anything.

I'm not sure I know three Idol albums, never mind having three faves.

I just looked up Josh on twitter....and Josh tweets:

Wow! Over 200 tweets! @adamlambert's fans are hitting hard but David Cook & Daughtry are gaining speed. Where's the benches/krinjas?

See what I mean?

It's odd how he doesn't use the word "Glamberts" but he refers to Kris's fans as "benches" and "krinjas" - terms you almost never see used.

I don't like Josh Skinner, I think he's a pussy, but okay, I did my duty. I voted for Kris, David C, and (gasp) Blake.

I think the voting on Radio Sophie is still going on... ? I don't know when it ends. I hate voting. But for something like airplay I'll vote.

It never ends. The voting never ends. (Every other artist only has to win in a few hours of voting, but Kris has to win the whole ****ing weekend. Hahaha.)

Okay, well that makes sense then. :) I was looking at her videos and the #'s were crazy for something posted on the weekend.

Yeah, I found that odd too. LOL and I actually don't expect Kris to be one of the top three - other fanbases are so much more organized but I'd like him to get a few more votes. :)

Ha, so true. I thought that too. lol

That interview was great.

Weird - I just started voting again for Kris on that radio station and every time I vote his vote goes down a little!

That voting should be closed, seriously. Doesn't seem fair at all.

Good sideways pic of my buds Cale and Chris. :) You need to rotate it.
