Yep, more power to Adam for doing so well. I think it's great that his tour has gone so well - not a lot of people can say that these days. The "SOLD OUT TOUR" comment though irritates the crap out of me. LOL Other things that irritate me in case anyone is keeping track would be Idol fans or Script fans who are hugely surprised that The Script played a part in writing LLWD.

It looks like Adam might get another single in Canada. Sony Canada tweeted about some radio news in regards to Adam.. they also tweeted for the Glamberts to stop @ replying them, lol.

I liked Mookie's free single more than I thought I would. I was a big fan of his on Idol but his original music never really excited me, but this is an improvement to me. Mookie & The Loyalists - Official Site

On the other hand, trying to achieve fame and money, as your goals, will probably lead to misery. So I hope all our faves are on the right paths for themselves.

Very well said.

I thought it was pretty obvious my comment was in reference to the "sold out world tour" comments made by Adam's fans, that you see everywhere, like in the comments sections of articles. As in, "How dare you criticize Adam Lambert? He is on a SOLD OUT WORLD TOUR!" Etc.
Do you read comments on every article about Adam? :? There will always be a handful of OTT fans but I do find the broad brush painting of fans to be tiresome. I've been following the show for years, and I know there’s a special breed of crazy in every popular male Idol's fanbase. I also know that their numbers are small, yet they’re the most vocal. I don't like those OTT fans but I am one who doesn’t judge the whole by the few and I wish others would do the same.

Anyway, I'm glad that Adam appeared to be having a great time in Malaysia, and fans there showed him so much love even though conservative Islamists were protesting outside the stadium.

I don't see what this has to do with my original post. All I indicated - in a rather mild way, using gentle humor - was that I'm tired of people saying Adam's tour is sold out when it isn't always sold out. I stand by that opinion, or feeling. Sorry if you don't like it, but I'm not going to modify my opinions because you find them tiresome. Different strokes for different folks.

What I find tiresome, myself, is when posters try to make everything about the other posters. There should be room for everyone to state their opinions. I'm all for people describing why they like or don't like a performer, talking about their concert experiences, sharing their love of music, etc., etc. Or, being as negative as they want about the performers they don't like, even if other people love them. But nitpicking about what people write, finding persoanl offense in something where none is intended, and wanted to make it "me vs. you" or "my idol is better than your idol," or whatever -- big yawns.

You said "I'm glad a couple of his recent stops, including this one, were not sold out."
I don't know why that makes you feel happy. I just don't understand that mindset.
I would never wish anybody to fail in what he/she is trying to pursue, even if I don't like the person.
I find it petty and that's my opinion. As you say different strokes for different folks.

Lee's single got an adds date for HAC in AllAccess, Oct. 25. I thought they'd send the song to CHR first because it's a poppy song :-?.

Interview with Kris

PMP Network presents Kris Allen

I don't have QuickTime. Should I install it to listen to this? Is it something I can skip?

(I've been reading the Foxwoods thread.) Kris had a somewhat shorter opening set than he did this summer, it seems. He didn't do Heartless/Gangsta's Paradise. He did do Man In the Mirror. No Alyssa Bernal tonight.

You said "I'm glad a couple of his recent stops, including this one, were not sold out."
I don't know why that makes you feel happy.

If you had included my whole comment, rather than one part of it, out of context, you would also have included the reason I said it makes me happy. I wrote:

I hope you understand the spirit in which I say this, but I'm glad a couple of his recent stops, including this one, were not sold out. Or so I've read. I'm weary of the "sold out world tour!" meme.

The reason I was happy was because I was weary of the "sold out world tour!" stuff. You're not paying attention.

I just don't understand that mindset.I would never wish anybody to fail in what he/she is trying to pursue, even if I don't like the person.I find it petty and that's my opinion.

I guess you're better person than I am. But I didn't say I wished anyone would fail. Show me where I said I wanted Adam to fail. Even if you take my quote out of context, I didn't say anything like that. And I didn't say I don't like him.

Well, guys, anything you want me to tell Kris in case I happen to run into him tomorrow night? (How about: "When are you coming to Canada?")

idolsnow KRIS ALLEN's "Alright With Me" was sent to radio by Jive Records just after 7 PM EDT last night.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! YES!!!!! That sounds just about right. ;)

Sounds like tonights concert was really good.. Soooooo jealous. Have a great time! And remember everything, lol.

the interview was good actually, the interviewer asked about LLWD selling so well, winning Idol, Daniel - and if he felt jealous that Kris won, they talked about the Truth and AWM. Asked which songs Kris wrote and Kris talked about writing with Joe King.

Hee! Of course I was going to bring back concert details!! Where's ross? I was sure he was going to be here before me!

So not Idol-related at all, but I saw Rich Aucoin/Hey Rosetta!/Hot Hot Heat tonight!

The show started later than it was supposed to, so while waiting outside I met 5 Hot Hot Heat fans and went to a bar with them since they wouldn't let us into the venue. Really cool people. They didn't know Hey Rosetta! at all, or barely. When we got back to the venue, there was a pretty big line-up, so we were kind of worried because we wanted to be close to the stage! Luckily we were! Like second row! Anyway, it was a tiny venue so we would've been fine whatever happened.

Rich Aucoin played first and he was amazing. He plays electronic music, which is not my thing per se, but he's a character. He spent more time performing in the crowd than on stage. He was very very entertaining. Great opener.

Then Hey Rosetta! started to set up and since I was there to see them, I was squeeing a bit inside! They played only 9 songs, since they were not the headliners, but they were AMAZING! Not that I expected any less. And I was standing like 4 feet from Tim Baker, and since I'm sure you guys know how I feel about this guy, you won't be surprised to learn that I was so so happy! All 6 of them are just amazing musicians. They played a couple of new songs (that I had already heard, thanks to youtube!). Anyway, I could probably talk about them all night. I'll just say that I'm proud to call this band my favorite band. I just completely connect with everything they do.

My goal for the evening was to try to talk to Tim Baker. I just wanted to tell him how his music means so much to me. I'm really shy in these situations, but I managed to tell him! While they were packing their stuff, I found him in another room signing some stuff for someone (well, he looked like he was trying to bring something to their van, but he probably kept being stopped by people!). So I just went for it after he was done with the girl. I didn't want to fangirl, so I kept it short and I awkwardly asked for a handshake, I didn't dare ask for a hug! In any case, Tim is super adorable (I'm not sure calling a 28 year-old man "adorable" is appropriate, but that's really the impression he gives!). He's as sweet and as good looking in person as you can imagine. *swoon*

*ahem*

Where was I? Oh yeah, I bought a t-shirt and went back to my friends for the evening, who by the way, all LOVED Hey Rosetta! even though they didn't know them before. 5 new fans, yay!

I stayed for like three Hot Hot Heat songs but since it was close to midnight and I don't really like HHH that much, I decided to leave. I saw Hey Rosetta! in the back of the room at the bar talking to some people. I didn't dare go talk to them again, since they were pretty cosy with the people they were talking to and I didn't know if these were people they knew or fans that are not as shy as me!

Anyway, I'm super happy with my evening, and kind of sad at the same time, since it's all over and I've been excited for this show for months. I know I have many more shows to look forward to this fall, but Hey Rosetta! hold a special place in my heart.

*sigh*

The end. LOL.

It's 2:30, I just got in, but I know you guys would be expecting me to check in. I'm too sleepy to do a recap now so I'll do it tomorrow.

(Glad you enjoyed your show so much, missaddicted!)

Kris was really beyond awesome. I loved it so much. The audience was so into him and gave him a lot of love. They were a really great crowd. MJ was in the second row and got almost the whole set on video - except for the end of Is It Over, I think she said (dang! That was awesome, too. Maybe someone else got it.) I felt a funny feeling of pride the whole time Kris was on. He's so great you just have to experience it sometime. He has so much energy and he's so full of fun and on top of that he's such an incredible singer - this and his onstage swagger and delight in performing - very captivating stuff.

So I'll recap more fully tomorrow. I met a couple of Kris fans at the theatre (after we talked on the phone) - the same two who were in Vermont - and we went to dinner before the show. Lots of fun.

Prior to that, I walked into the theatre briefly and immediately ran into Chris Torres (the tour busses were parked outside the main entrance of the theatre, and he was headed out the door when I was going in). I said hi to him and he just immediately stopped at the door, and talked with me. It's hard to describe, but it was like he just dropped everything to give me his total attention (just like Kris seems to do.) I don't know what it is with these guys. He's just very positive and cheerful, and approachable. Later, after the show, at the bus, Kris recognized one of the women I was with - I took a picture of the two of them (there was a big crowd there getting pics with him, and autographs - a lot of pretty girls, mostly). I thought that was pretty cool - that he recognized her - since I think the last time she talked to him was at the Borgata in Atlantic City.

Lifehouse's show was really solid. They have tons of energy, too. They have a lot of elaborate lights, and they have a lot of those screens, like the ones in the Idols concerts, that show a lot of different designs and images.

They do a really, really loud show. I enjoyed hearing their hits (they've have more than a few), but they do a lot of mid-tempo songs that begin to sound like each other after a while. They really gave their fans their money's worth, anyhow.

Alyssa Bernal was really sweet. Just before her last song she announced that this was her first tour - and this (tonight) was her first gig! She seemed a little nervous, but it was endearing. Her songs were good pop songs, and her voice was really good. I liked her.

Kris was really great, just about flawless. Everyone seemed impressed.

More tomorrow...

I'm glad you had a great time ross! I still want to see Kris and KAB live so much. I fear I'll still have to wait quite a bit of time before that happens.

I'm still kind of on a Hey Rosetta! high from last night. It's stupid but I still marvel at how great this guys are. They definitely deserve to get more recognition. And headline their own shows, especially in Canada (well, they were the headliners when I saw them in December last year, so it's not like they can't do it). They had the crowd eating in the palm of their hands while they were playing. The crowd was asking for an encore big time after they were done, but alas, they couldn't do one. And let's say I was not the only one to leave during Hot Hot Heat's set.

I'm on a concert high, too! lol

One thing about Kris - he seems even freer onstage than before, and he seems more sexy. It's confidence, I guess. Plus, his look is better - his clothes, I mean - no layers, so far. He had a lot of really adoring fans there - and I think a lot of the Lifehouse fans like him, too, since I noticed many people who bought and were wearing Lifehouse merch cheering for him, and outside his bus later.

missaddicted, I do hope you get to see Kris, eventually. Just because he does have that quality of seeming to perform just for you, and to be letting you in on some private secret. He has an unusual joy onstage and he puts a smile on most people's faces - yet he's not saccharine (despite that review last summer) and he's a mature performer. And the voice is just richer, live, and the charisma is greater.

I'm not good at recapping individual songs/performances. But I liked how they even rocked out on the second half of MITM, rather than keeping it all low-key. And the audience sing-along: I glanced around and almost everybody was singing or mouthing the words. On AWM, some people stood up and danced - it was a great performance of that song. I especially liked what Kris said, and how he said it - prior to LLWD. Not that he said much, he just seemed very real. (MJ has the video.) IIO was great - what wasn't? It all was. I can't think of when I have ever seen a better opening act with such an enthusiastic crowd. Not exaggerating - it was awesome.

Looks like Brian Melo's story got bumped from etalk. :(

He tweeted: Will be on Etalk tonight! Check it out and get a glimpse of the Soundproof video!

Then, later, he tweeted: My story may be on next week! Not sure! Keep watching

PS - I think this was probably my favorite Kris show I've been to - well, this one and Mechanics Hall. That was really a special show. PPS - I didn't really talk to him this time. Just took his picture with that other fan, and told him it was a great show. (I don't have that picture - it was on her camera.) It's interesting to stand there and watch Kris having his picture taken. People aren't screaming, it isn't like that. Some people were saying "I love you" (even in Italian. "Te amo, Kris!"), but overall they were just nice and respectful, though joking around, and having fun,of course. And he is extremely focused and so calm. He doesn't look all around, he focuses totally on the picture being taken. He has what seems like inner calm. It's really kind of unusual. I can't really describe it, but it's not the first time I noticed it.

In one of those pics you'll notice a lipstick mark on his face. A girl kissed him kind of an overlong time, but he was very calm about it, then later she or someone else came over and wiped off the lipstick, and he was equally calm and just stood and didn't really say anything. He doesn't seem uncomfortable at all. Nothing seems to faze him.

Just some observations. Hopefully, not too tard-like. lol

missaddicted I'm so happy that you got to see Hey Rosetta! - and it was just as awesome as you expected it to be.. how could it not be, right? It's Hey Rosetta! But you talked to Tim (Squee!)

and Ross! (Squee!) I'm just watching MJ's videos and if you say the sound was tons better.. wow.. must have been awesome. Everyone there was remarking on the great energy at the show and I agree the crowd was very excited. This seems like a great tour match. Also I'm only up to Red Guitar on the videos - but it's fantastic!

oh, and your pictures are good!!

Alyssa and her band are tweet crazy. I'm gonna love that about them. :)

Admitedly, I had seen them last December too, so it was the second time in a year. And they're supposed to tour again in the winter/spring after their album is released (in february, I believe). But last december, I still didn't know them that much, I had never seen a video (and was shocked to discover that Tim was a hottie... Phil and Adam are also very easy on the eyes BTW!). So last year, I had decided to sit on the balcony and not go right in front of the stage (which I could have done since I was there early) and I had regretted it since, LOL! So, last night was even more special since I became a way way way bigger fan since then. That show last year was really the beginning of my love story with this band.

Okay, I'll stop now, LOL. I swear I'm not creepy!

How old are they? None of them look older than twenty. You had to love them, they were all obviously eager to please.

MJ videos: the sound was just so different than it is live. I think if she sat farther back, away from the speakers, she'd get clearer sound. But I'm glad it sounds good to you! I guess I'm just comparing it to "live." It sounded good last night!

MJ seems very impressed by Kris's growth as a performer. She also said a couple of things I'll share with you guys in a PM if you want. Nothing major but interesting.

Sleepinin, you keep up with this stuff - what's going on with AWM? I'm reading it's been having a few spins. Is it being sent for ads? I read this on Pulse about the recent release to radio: "[It] means the song has been sent out to radio stations electronically for play. They should publish an official adds date later but stations can play it if they want to." Does that sound about right?

Awwww. You've turned me into a bigger fan of them too. :) Their wow moment for me was that early morning Olympic show - since I haven't seen them live - that was amazingly beautiful. It really blew me away.

I actually haven't been to Pulse to check on AWM's spins so far. LOL - I'm slacking - I was thinking of doing that today. Through twitter I've guessed that's it's had a few spins but no real adds as yet. I think the Arkansas station played it first. :) I think essentially you're correct that it's been sent out to stations to play. I don't know what happens with add date when they do it that way. I guess it gets one later??? But maybe it just gets sent out.

Alyssa's band tweeted a photo of themselves in the bus last night - Twitpic - Share photos on Twitter so yeah.. young.

They're very chatty.

Yeah, I want to know as well!

That was truly beautiful. It took me a bit of time to get into Red Song, because I was more used to their epic sound, but now I find that listening to Tim's voice backed only by acoustic guitar and cello is absolutely stunning! They couldn't have played that last night, the crowd was way too rowdy. They played We Made A Pact and some idiots kept screaming during the song.

There were only two buses out front, Lifehouse's and Kris's, so I wonder where her bus was? Unless we just assumed the one in front was Lifehouse. Pretty sure it was, though. They (buses) were still there after 1 am, after I had walked one of my friends back to her hotel, and I passed the theatre again. There was also a truck that came in to take all of Lifehouse's set and lights. KAB seemed to have a trailer behind their bus for their gear - something they didn't have on the last tour, since I saw their bus pull out last time.
