Hm, I see there's one comment on that blog interview:

Cris Allen is a Dork..who cares what he thinks. He needs to work on his voice rather then give opinions.

None of them can spell, for some reason.

Did you see the article with Ryland's Reel Big Fish band member? I don't have the link on hand, but it had a really snide tone towards Kris, and Ryland playing with him. He sounded pissed that Ryland was touring with Kris. Whatever dude.

No, I didn't! Where would I see it? Was it on MJ's blog? I guess all I can say is that's not very professional. Maybe he's trying to get some free publicity.

I just Googled it. I wouldn't get mad at that nonsense. I think it was said tongue in cheek.

Anyhow - I thought what I heard today about Paul McCartney's guitar player being an admirer of Kris and sending him the tickets to the concert he went to, was pretty decent.

I will only read the bitching, whining and moping if everything is spelled correctly. Get a dictionary and learn to communicate your anger through actual words. LOL - I'm kidding.. but actually it's not a bad idea. :)

Well I didn't get that mad. You know me.. eh. whatever.. lol

You know what? That makes sense. I actually remembered that Paul's guitarist is following Kris on Twitter. How cool is that???

Interesting in regards to Universal

UMG Pulls Music Videos From MTV Over Vevo Dispute

The sound is poor on this but it's worth watching. Kris talks about working with Jon Foreman on Lifetime. And Chris Daughtry "He's a man"

Well, good! I didn't really think you got mad.

I just interpreted what he said as tongue in cheek. Subtle sarcasm. I don't think he has anything against Kris; it was more about giving Ryland a hard time. Just my ever so humble opinion.

Oh, that's cool. According to people (what people? I forget) the guitar player pointed Kris out from the stage, four or five times.

That was a good q&a even though I didn't hear all of it (I didn't get the mountain stuff).

That article -- about MTV -- I don't think I understood it totally. What are the implications? Other than Idol videos possbly won't be played on VH1.

yeah, real time youtubes.. crazy.. What is this world we're living in? That was really cool.

The Idol part was what hit me, lol. No crazy VH1 voting for season 10 if they don't get the deal worked out.

Oh, okay. I was more *concerned* about the part that said that Sony may follow suit.
And we would not be able to crazy-vote for Kris on VH1.

But it sounds as if Vevo is the new thing. I don't really get what it is. Why is it different from YouTube?

And that would be a travesty and a damn shame. :)

I think the record companies have some sort of stake in Vevo that gives them revenue sharing or something. They have full fledged commercials on Vevo - noticed that today when re-watching some of the Arcade Fire videos (because watching a full concert 2 x is just not enough!!) Plus if you watch videos there they'll play ads for other artists. So they must be getting more money some how out of it.

Thanks for the WKRZ clips. Maybe we can send them to Timmy in jail to cheer him up.

What is a "chromeless video player," anyhow?

I love acoustic versions of The Truth. I heard TT on the radio Thursday night about 5:50 as I was driving home from work.

MJ has some very good video of Send Me All Your Angels right now on her little blog. Kris looks less bald than usual singing with Chris Daughtry. (j/k)

Hey, that was a nice interview with Kris. I like his ease in interviews now (bound to happen with repetition, right?) and also that he doesn't mind saying positive stuff about himself - that used to embarrass him.

Second album. Are you guys angsting over this at all? Plus, there's the Cook album to angst about, too, just in case. It's angst radio: "All angst, all the time." Okay, but seriously, I hope Kris remembers to make concessions to pop when he does his album (if it's Jive, I'm sure he will be instructed to, anyhow). Some serious songs but not too many. lol

So is Adam's video #1 on VH1 again? I didn't check, I'm just assuming. There's no headline about it on MJ's. How long before his fans become intolerable to the world at large (vs already being intolerable within the "Idol bubble.")?

About Daughtry:

For 'Idol' alum Chris Daughtry, success was a long time coming | mycentraljersey.com | MyCentralJersey.com

Oops, I guess IIHY fell to #6. I invite you to enjoy the delusional Glamberts commenting on this under the article. So much pain. (What?! I voted 24,356 times, and he only came in 6th??? WTF???) I'm sure we can expect a fresh round of attacks on a certain Idol winner this coming week . It helps them to cleanse and detox.

Thanks for all the videos and articles, guys!

Angst? No angst from me. Not about fandom stuff anyway. Real life is kind of a bitch right now and I don't have energy to spare angsting about the second albums. Well, I did angst a bit when David posted that video of them in the studio and we could hear him sing that sucky David Hodges song, but it lasted like 10 minutes. I'm more in the "we'll see" mode right now. I admit I'm curious to see if David and band will play a new song at their shows this weekend at Busch Gardens in Virginia, but if they don't, it's all good.

Sorry to hear that, missaddicted. I hope real life improves. I think some of us angst about the Idols to distract ourselves from real life; I think I sometimes do.

New song would be good!

Oh yeah, for sure. I guess sometimes, there's only so much stress one person can take! Especially if it's something that doesn't concern me personally that much.

I think I'm going to go see Theo, he'll be in Montréal on August 16 with two other bands. I'm not quite sure how I can buy tickets yet, but I'll probably be able to buy some at the door even though the venue is pretty small.

Yay for crowd noise!

David soundchecked two new songs, will he do them on stage later?

Here's the audio for one of the songs, it's called Paper Heart:

LaverneP - Watch my video on #twitvid - TwitVid

ETA: Well, peeps are as efficient as ever in this fandom.

Here's the audio for second new song:

Yfrog Video : yfrog.com/j5wtsz - Uploaded by LaverneTX

I think I have to let these grow on me. I already like the first one (Paper Heart) much better than at first listen. The second one is... okay. It's the kind of generic rock I wish he would stay away from, but maybe that's really what he wants to do.

They also started soundchecking a third song with piano but apparently, they cut it short.

The purple gorilla got a good spot for the show. Lucky gorilla: We're in. Andy side, maybe 20-25 feet back. Less crazy h... on Twitpic

Probably one of the best ustream I've seen! And LOL, it's super hot out there in Virginia and the boys are all dressed up! Shirt, vest and tie for David, heh!

David Cook 08/07/10 Busch Gardens on USTREAM: Live feed of David Cook & The Anthemic's show at Busch Gardens, VA, 08/07/10.. Rock

Well, that was almost too good to be true. The video livestream was fantastic! Not quite live-Arcade-Fire-on-youtube quality, but it was better than any I'd seen before. But the girl hadn't planned that the stream would take so much battery so it died in the middle on the set. Cellcast sound is pretty bad.

I think he sounds good but it's really hard to make out the songs. I don't really speak David Cook with quite the fluency I speak Kris Allen or Jacob Hoggard, so I don't hear what he says too well without the sound being better.

I watched both the sound checks and some of the live stream.

Now I'm trying to follow the Borgata show on MJ's. which is basically tweets.

tripp_ncwy copies and pastes a tweet, then ilovekrisallen39 copies and pastes the same tweet. So you read everything twice.

Several MJ's regulars are at this show - mtlfan, for one - the Montreal Kris fan who asked me if I want to use her extra ticket to Kris/Keith show in Vermost in September. I'm still debating.

ETA: I think I might accept those free tickets. Look what they're selling for.

Keith Urban, Kris Allen, Concert Tickets For Sale around Burlington, VT, Concert Tickets Classifieds in Burlington VT, Search Burlington Vermont Classified Ads for Tickets

I just came across this (below) by accident. It's from April 2009. I thought there was something weird about the comments, then I realized what it was. There are no negative comments!! This was from before Kris won, and beat you know who. Interesting to speculate what life would be like without the nastier Glamberts.

I am so jealous of those people at the show tonight. It looks like it's been a really fun show

ETA: David Cook fandom kind of amazes me with your collective organizational skills. Hee! New songs are fun :) So they didn't play them on stage yet?

and I really want Kris to record that Heartless / Gangsta's Paradise. Someday.

Yes, that would be awesome!

Kris with Keith will probably be a great show and I debated going to that show myself. The size of the venue turned me off though. And I'm sure Keith Urban is awesome, but country music is still not my favorite. Still, it's hard to say no to free tickets! I don't think I would know what to do either, ross!

So they didn't play them on stage yet?

Yes! They played Paper Heart during the encore! After the ustream died though. Waiting for video to show up anytime now.

ETA: Here it is!
