Hee, yes, Adam's fans don't vote at all I guess. They're making up for lost time after the finale.

Kardi's from Toronto but he had a big hit with Akon and a ton of hits in Canada.

YouTube - Kardinal Offishall - Dangerous ft. Akon

including one with Jully Black (and Sean Paul)

I'm not saying she does this stuff on purpose all the time. But I'm sure you've noticed she rarely gets very effusive about Kris.

I've noticed. LOL! We all have our favourites I guess. We like who we like, right? When AI8 started I never thought I'd still be talking about one of the singers. (everyday) :p (I blame twitter and you guys BTW - you're good enablers)

Oh, sure, I know the song Dangerous. I guess I just never paid attention to who did it.

(I changed my post, above. I finally figured out how I wanted to say it, I guess. Now, why I needed to bother to say any of that, I don't really know! I'm sure I've said it all before.)

People say Kris did a somewhat shorter set tonight at Six Flags, in Texas, but they also are saying it was 100 degrees. (37.7 to you). So I can see why he cut it a bit short. People are also saying he still sounds (slightly) like his cold is lingering. I wonder if he has some allergies. The pollen, or whatever, it is is really bad this year. I never have outdoor allergies (I'm usually an indoor allergy kinda guy), and I've had them this year, really bad at times.

By the way, headlining that concert must be, for Adam, a very big deal. It's really his first time doing anything like that -- headlining such a big concert -- right? I'm glad for him.

ETA: I've heard a lot of ads for the Mixfest thing. The ads feature Goo Goo Dolls heavily, followed by Kris, then the other two acts. Sometimes the ads only feature Goo Goo Dolls and Kris.

I've noticed. LOL! We all have our favourites I guess. We like who we like, right?

Well, I have to say she really liked seeing him live. It was obvious. Especially her comment after AWM, when her eyes were huge and she said the "That was f---ing awesome!!" line. Did I ever tell you who she told me was her favorite Idol?

I think it was huge for him. Also, extremely Adam friendly town. No better place for it to happen.

I want live Kris. I'm not really surprised that Kris is killing it live since people never gave him credit for being awesome. I know Adam is amazing, but so is Kris and that gets overlooked.

Did you say .. or maybe I read it on her blog somewhere because I think she's mentioned it there. JPL?

I love how Jacob says "sore-y." And, "We'll never play Nova Scotia a-gayn."

Jacob might need to get that Ritalin prescription refilled. Crippin is almost pushing 40. Wonder if he gets tired of this stuff??

JPL is correct. She said she started on the JPL fan boards. She mentioned something about how the deluded fans are still saying "All he needs is one break and he'll be big."

I know Adam is amazing, but so is Kris and that gets overlooked.

You know what? I really need you to see the both of them live.

(For one thing, you can hardly believe these sounds are really coming out of them and are not pre-recorded and lip-synched. They sound that good. For another thing, I would love your impressions of certain things, but I can't say what they are until you see them.)

You'll notice that I could have seen Adam today... I think Adam's great but for some reason he's not as interesting to me.

LOL - that almost makes me want to trek up to Toronto tommorrow to stand in a crowd of thousands of Beleibers screaming and crying in 90 degree weather.

Almost. So close.

I'll watch on tv instead, you can turn the screaming down then.

Haha. I guess I forgot because I'm so used to talkin' American.

What does Hedley have a-gaynst Nova Scotia, anyhow?

Wow, that was a hyper interview. Jacob tries so hard to be funny. Like, he says ten things and maybe one is actually funny. One thing I always wonder about: he's never really acted like this on CI. I think he can turn it on and turn it off.

YouTube - HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY, KRIS ALLEN!

Yay-- Mechanics Hall.

This is from Kris Together forum:

Just got back from this show and I'm speechless. Kris is unbelievable. This is the first time I've seen him since the AI tour in Dallas last July but I've seen him a lot on youtube. It's just not the same. Not the same at all. I expected confidence but not the swagger. That was really a welcome surprise.

Kris's brother (entire family and a lot friends I've seen in pictures) was there and quite the celebrity with girl after girl posing with him for pictures. LOL!

Kris still sounds sick. How long has it been, now? I think, it's been ever since he last sang in Texas, with Pat Monahan. That was the first time people noticed he sounded a bit off. Then, the next night or two, we found out he had this cold, or whatever. Back in Wisconsin. Or Minnesota. Jon Bream, etc. That was, like, two weeks ago, now, right? What's going on? Do you think he's going to get his voice back? Usually, when this happened to him before, it was like, two days and then he was fine again.

(Now, when he has a day off, it happens to be Father's Day, and he has to celebrate that with his family, instead of resting/saving his voice. I hope they get him to be quiet.)

I'm getting slightly worried. I gotta confess I find it hard to listen to this stuff. Not that it sounds bad, but I guess I put myself in the place of someone in the audience, and I want them to hear how he usually sounds. Also, I want him to recover. Like - what if his voice is damaged, or something?

YouTube - Kris Allen - Alright With Me 6/18/2010 Ironstone Ampitheatre

Ugh. I think Kris should stay out of this area:

ETA: I just listened to Kris's CMT interview.

Wow, he sounds awful. Poor guy. He doesn't even sound like himself. He definitely sounds like he has a cold/allergies. I think he needs a super-doctor to fix him up.

Anyhow, I'm no longer worried that he strained his voice. It's obviously some kind of upper respiratory thing. He just needs to shake it. Eventually.

Ha. I never thought I'd actually worry about stuff like this.

This is cool.

That's awesome that Bill Gates (or Bill Gates worker elf) put that link up. Very, very cool! They've passed $17,000 now. Wow! Amazing.

I went and checked out who Bill is following on twitter - cause I'm like that.. of the 52 people he's following one is Heifer and then a lot of other charity organizations... and randomly Ashley Tisdale. LOL.

Much played Kris's When I was 17 today. :)

and I agree it's a bad cold. It just probably takes more than a week to get better. I thought it was cool that Jamiey from GRO brought his wife to the concert last night. They seem like nice guys. Wouldn't mind seeing them tour together again.

Nice. I guess they couldn't cut him out, since he was part of the whole show, and all. ;)

Someone on TopIdol didn't like Adam's headlining gig last night. (Understatement. Apparently this person was a fan of his during S7. Or he was the only one she cared for.) Seems the crowd size was over-estimated. I don't report this because I'm happy about it, but I get tired of the Glambert focus on Kris's crowds that I guess I can't help mentioning it.

I have wondered whether Adam's decision to limit his sets to a certain length would go over badly with some people.

I have some wacky insight into this, I think. though it may be all wet. Just from something I always observed; a difference between actors and musicians.

I always felt that Adam is more of a theatre/show person, and he would focus on doing a pre-rehearsed set, give everything to that set, then leave. People trained in theatre are used to that. You arrive at the theatre, put on your make up and costume, give your performance, take off your make up and costume, and leave. If you've played your part well, you've done your job. Musicians are different. They will sometimes play for hours, then go out and jam some more at a bar, or someone's house.

I don't think Adam would enjoy just playing for hours. He's not really that kind of musician. I could be wrong, but that's my instinct about it.

I thought it was cool that Jamiey from GRO brought his wife to the concert last night. They seem like nice guys. Wouldn't mind seeing them tour together again.

That's cool. I was under the impression they weren't opening for Kris because they had another gig. Guess not! Anyhow, when you think that these guys have probably seen Kris's show a lot...the fact that one of them wanted his wife to see it, and he wanted to see it again, is a real compliment.

I don't know that I really know either, lol. She's involved with Disney somehow - and has 3 million twitter followers. 8O One of whom is Bill Gates.

Re: the review. Can't please everyone I guess. :) It definately wasn't a sold out show, but I think Adam had the majority of the fans there from what the DJ's said.

Or you know wanted to ride rollercoasters for free... lol Yeah, I thought they had another show too. But nope day off for them.

From the descriptions of who was there, I never doubted it. :)

*snerk*

Adam was just on Much and they did a little behind the scenes glimpse and Matt Wells who is doing the online VIP party interviews tonight asked him about Kesha. Adam said that they came on the scene at the same time and were kinda text message friends and then he said that she was doing better than he was at the moment. I don't think Adam believes his own OTT press either. Deep down Adam has his feet planted on planet earth.

But Kesha is doing better than Adam at the moment. (I think.) (ETA: I don't know why. I know you like her, but she's like nails on a blackboard, to me.)

I don't see all that much OTT press for Adam. I don't think I spend any time looking for it online, I guess. I don't want to sound like a sour apple, but where is all this media coverage? Is he on the ET type shows all the time? I don't watch.

Yeah, I think Adam has his feet on the ground, He's always been pretty realistic.

Adam with Ben Mulroney. My head might explode now.

My friend Brendan had that haircut back in about 1997. I think Adam looks like a hungover hooker. Why does he wear that crap on his eyes? He used to be good looking.

I think the make up makes him look cross eyed. But moving on...

Thanks for the live stream. It would be wild if the Glamberts became Hedley fans. My bet is: no.

Watching Kesha now.

Doesn't sound like she's singing live. Hm. There's something sick about a lot of pre-teen and young teen girls singing along to "touching my junk." :( (Why are her dancers so bad? They're bumping into each other.)

And the comments start on MJ's...(About Jacob: )

This poor guy can’t sing falsetto to save his life.

Katy Perry is singing. Now that's someone who can't sing falsetto to save her life. Yet I thihnk she does it in every song. (I think she has no choice but to sing falsetto, since she has a really weak range.)

Okay, I need to go away for a while -- I've been online for hours.

First I have to see who won video of the year. (OMG, Leah Miller no longer wears her hair in her face.)

Yay, Hedley!!!!!!

Okay, Miley won one of the categories Adam was up for. (God. Miley. Don't talk. How can someone with that bad a speaking voice be a good singer? Never mind.)

I need to stop talking to myself and take a break. See you in a while.

I'm back. So Adam won a MMVA. The Glamberts on MJ's are saying they voted for him "like mad." (That's nice, though it would be nicer if Canadians voted for the MMVAs!) Well, congrats to him, anyhow. I'm still bitter Much has ignored Kris, though.

Nobody seems to be here, so I'll say good night, see you tomorrow.

Ha! Sorry (or sore-y) I was watching the tv and also taping the behind the scenes stuff. (Hedley and Adam were both on there)

Jacob was very ADD and Adam looked a little lost with the first interviewer. They weren't on there at the same time so no worries. :) Adam was happy to win, but surprised that he didn't get to thank anyone. I guess no one told him we don't actually let people talk after they win.

Yay Hedley. :)

Also.. $23,000 + for #alrightwithmoo is pretty freaking great.

I'm glad Adam won the award. To be honest, it was the fan award, right? Because as I said, his fans were saying the "voted like mad" on MJ's last night. Unless only Canadians can vote. Then again, he probably has as many OTT fans there as anywhere. I don't begrudge him such awards, but I hate, in general, OTT fans who crazily skew results of these things. I don't care if it's Adam, or Archie, or Clay, or whomever. Everyone's fans should be allowed one vote and that's it.

I sometimes think Jacob's ADD is spelled P-O-T.

I thought Perfect deserved to win, that's really a hell of a good video. Cha-Ching, I don't know. Maybe not.

AWM (Alright With Moo) has reached and surpassed the goals stated (I think 1000 dollars was the original goal). I didn't give anything, but I'm happy it turned out so well.

I'm sure you guys have heard by now, but next season AI will be lowering the age limit to 15.

Ugh.

I think the fan voting awards are to give the fans something to do, keep them busy then they rack up web site hits and charge more for advertising.

I sometimes think Jacob's ADD is spelled P-O-T.

and sometimes A-L-C-O-H-O-L

(no mustache on the performance.. mustache on the red carpet..I think he got threats from management)

I love Perfect (video and song) and I love the video for Ch-ching.. the song not so much. It got old so fast for me.

I'm sure you guys have heard by now, but next season AI will be lowering the age limit to 15.

Ugh.

Double ugh. This is not a good idea.

You know one of the nicest things about #alrightwithmoo is that not only did Kris's birthday get the money for Heifer.. but Heifer got a lot of press too. Very nice.

HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY, KRIS ALLEN! Fourteen Plums

If you haven't seen this already, it's a great birthday tribute to Kris...and it can take an hour or more to read and watch it all. I had to skip some of it. If you want, leave a comment. They did a great job, and it's not even all that OTT. Nice.

(no mustache on the performance.. mustache on the red carpet..I think he got threats from management)

I was just about to ask about that! I forgot to look for it. Thanks.

I think the fan voting awards are to give the fans something to do, keep them busy then they rack up web site hits and charge more for advertising.

Good point. (And I have to add, many of Adam's fans really do need something to keep them busy. Sort of like occupational therapy.)

So The Truth is doing pretty well on HAC and not bad on Pop, but really, not a lot of people seem to be buying it. Compared to IIHY (yes, I looked at MJ's blog today). Of course, this could always be attributed to the desperate buying/voting that Adam's fans seem to need to do. (The video will be #1 in a week or two.)

Someone on MJ's the other day pointed out that Daughtry and Lifehouse, the artists closest to Kris on the airplay chart, were selling about the same amount, or even less, than him, on iTunes.

Jacob: Yeah, you could also blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-a-l-c-o-h-o-l. I know Jacob also likes pot, but after all, that should make him mellow.

This annoying person is opening for Kris Allen. No, it's not Chris Crippen!
