Oh, yeah. That was blatant. Maybe they can't prove anything.. although that really hasn't stopped TWOP before. LOL

Another thing I was thinking today, and this goes way back to stuff I read on MJ's months ago. So many of the Adam fans there identified with stuff he said about his younger self. I tend to think it was exaggerated by him, but nonetheless he talked about having been unattractive, and/or unpopular because he was gay, at one point.

I think there are people who have a twisted idea of Kris representing the "popular" or "normal" kids who tormented them for whatever reason. As silly as that sounds. I mean, I think they probably have resentments towards a lot of people like that. They still feel like outsiders looking in. And Adam is their standard bearer.

The ironic thing is that I think Adam would probably laugh at, and be bored by, if not outright detest, these people.

It wasn't me. :) But I agreed with it 100%.

You're probably right, the funny thing is I think Adam and Kris are a lot alike in a lot of ways. They were both kind of theatre/band kids right? Adam theatre and Kris band -- Some people internalize too much. I think Daniel was more popular in high School. Kris doesn't strike me as an unpopular kid.. more that he and his friends didn't really care about being popular and did their own thing. (what do i know though? Complete guess)

But have they all watched Idol since season one? That was the first clue. That actually reminded me of Kris since he alsway says his favorite girl was Kelly and that he watched season one. But why would he be on again?

I can't see Kris being on again yet either. Plus he already did a Beatles song. I want him to do one of his own next time.

Yes, but Kris was straight and probably attractive, while Adam was gay and apparently pimply and overweight and unattractive. Even though I've never seen a picture of him where he looked unattractive, despite being plumpish, or maybe because of it. So I'm saying I think some people never get over stuff, and just project a lot onto these TV icons and make them into friends and enemies. They overidentify, they're basically not right in the head.

Like I said, I'm getting this from old MJ's posts where people went on and on about this stuff, and basically implied Kris was the type of person who would shun, if not beat up, Adam, in high school. I don't mean to suggest it made any sense.

Also, there was, like, instantaneous hatred of Danny on the TWoP threads, like the Gabbery. It was out of all proportion to anything, and I thought it was very weird. I mean, more or less the minute he performed in Top 36, there was this hate, and it seemed people were already setting up for an Adam-Danny feud. Before they had even made the Top 12/13? Why?

I was actually banned from the thread because I defended Danny a couple of times.
(I'm sure that was the reason; there was no other reason.) Anyway, someone on an anti-TWoP blog speculated, I think correctly, that he was hated because he was fundamentalist Christian, and many people who post on Idol forums like TWoP hate the beliefs of fundamentalist Christians, probably because a lot of people who post on the Idol forums are gay.

Hence you get all this speculation that the "anti-gay" vote went to Danny, then to Kris, etc. -- even though I've never believed this (like people who watch one of the gayest shows on TV are going to be homophobic??). lol. All those "homophobic" viewers who voted for Kris really seem to be up in arms because one of the judges this year is openly gay, huh? (Not.)

Yeah, but I enjoyed seeing it again. Thanks! It was kinda weird. I mean, I got kissed when I was around that age, too, but I would never have mentioned it if someone asked when my first kiss was. I would have thought of my first "real" kiss, like, as a teenager.

I never liked him much. I just defended him on TWoP because I thought he was being scapegoated, or vilified for no reason, or whatever. But since Jacob "officially" hated him, I was banned.

Speaking of people we wish were on this season...The thing people don't really understand, Adam's biggest fans, I mean, is that Adam probably would never beat anyone who comes across as more real or authentic than himself, never mind just Kris. Provided they were very talented. Like, if he was on this season, Crystal would probably beat him. If he was on season 7, David Cook would have beat him. It's just a fact of life they ought to accept.

[Danny, in my opinion, would not have beat him. For one thing, we know that he "beat" Danny, since Danny went out at #3. And Kris beat Danny, as well (and everyone else). So I never understand the "If Danny was in the Top 2" reasoning, since he wasn't, he didn't have enough votes. But let's say Kris wasn't in the competition, I still think if it came down to a Danny-Adam finale -- and who's to say it would have? -- Danny would have lost to Adam, because Adam is more authentic than Danny. As well as a better performer.]

I think Danny would have lost to Adam too. Danny just didn't know who he was musically. It's a big part of why he went out at #3 and why he wouldn't have won regardless. Whatever people say about Kris and Adam -- they know who they are.
