Mike had a baby??? I had no clue! Heh.

He's so cheesy, I can't stand it. He really feels like "Old Idol". He sang well, but really, meh.

1. Michael.

Hm. Sarver-esque.

His voice isn't so great, his singing isn't, either. I kind of feel he's faking his way through this whole competition. I agree completely with Simon (again? Drat.) that it was corny. Desperate? Nope, I didn't get that.

Ryan comes after Simon. Simon acts like a scared 17 year old.

Hold it, here is KRIS. I knew there was a reason I watched this show. I always forget he's going to be in the commercials.

2. Didi.

I meant to say this before, but her speaking voice is very nasal and sort of annoying.

My first impression is that this song doesn't really suit her. She's good, but it's a weird song choice. If we play with her, would we really be playing with fire? Um, I don't think so.

I don't disagree with the judges, but I think she's the wrong type for this song. They gave her a kind of Kris Allen critique. "Solid." Well, she was in the Kris Allen memorial performance slot.

3. Casey.

Bet I'm in the minority but I think he should get a haircut. Hair covering the face is annoying in close ups on TV.

Good singing. But. He still needs to cut loose more. He does all his performing with his voice. And somewhat (not much) with his face. But he needs to move around and project his energy out there more.

He did make the song his own, which I really liked. He seemed like he was singing his own song. That's a big plus, for me. It's not easy. I forgot he was singing the Stones.

And . . . I agree with Simon again (ugh).

Hm. Sarver-esque.

That's what I thought as well!

I really really liked Didi. I think the song suited her just fine, I like that she chose that. She kinda bugs me for some reason though, not when she sings, but the rest of the time.

Casey was good, but I thought the song was boring (it felt like he was repeating the same two lines over and over again). Maybe he was boring, and not the song. I'm not sure. Something was boring.

I talked to Jim Henson on the phone once. He sounded just like Kermit.
I'll tell you about it after the show.

Oh, very cool. Jealous.

Michael - He started low.. and it was BO-ring. He seemed to be going for the big notes but not singing the little ones. I agreed about the corny dancing.

Didi - I really liked it, she sounded good to me. But the creepy crowd.. eek! Scary arm movements. Agreed with Kara the intensity was really good.

Casey - I'm with you - cut the hair. Good but it bored me.. he said all his relatives are better. Can we have them?

Lacey - The arrangement was dreadful. Nothing wrong with the vocals?????????? What? You can tell she has a good voice, but what the hell was that?

The local news is going to do a story on Siobhan at 10:00. She's a Cape Cod girl.

4. Lacey Brown.

I don't know what to say. I thought you had to be able sing to get on this show.

Simon: "Nothing wrong with the vocals." ???

[This reminds me of AI three or four years ago. Anyone else? I didn't watch much back then, but it just reminds me of that. The, kind of, plastic contestants, the old fashioned singing, the various "types."]

Scary arm movements.

That was scary. The swaybots are out in force.

I have a lot of dislike for Lacey. And I can't help but think about what Slezak says about her (she dresses like a rich retired woman in Florida... I also read 50 year old hairdresser elsewhere... and I can't disagree she looks like that, it's disturbing). It was probably the performance from her that bothered me less, but I can't really stand her singing... like Carly Rae Jepsen somehow. But Carly is so much better.

yeah, Lacey does have that look to her. Too polished.

Andrew: Not the right song choice. He's got so much potential, but he's just not hitting it.

I hate when they bring up rehearsal, because rehearsal is not the night. It's horseshoes and handgrenades.

The thing I meant with Didi was that she "acted" the song well, but she's not believably threatening, which is how I interpret playing with fire. Like: watch out!
Just my take on it.

5. Andrew Garcia.

My problem when I listen to him is that I hear a lot of off notes. This number was dull, and I don't need glory notes. Once again, this isn't season 5.

Ellen loved it. Ellen is dangerous. She hugged Tim Urban. He stayed. Alex left. Think before you speak, Ellen.

Okay. At this point, I'm a little tired of waiting for Andrew to get better, or bring it, or whatever. How many chances do you get? He never does it.

I got what the judges were saying, but I actually liked Andrew. He was quite awkward without his guitar, but at least, he was going for something different.

I like that he tried for different too. I'm almost off the bandwagon though.. sitting on the edge.

OMG another whole hour.. and Katie... (and Wild Horses.. of course)

Disturbing. LOL. To me, she looked a little like a hooker.

6. Katie Stevens

Swaybots!! (Back, swaybots, back!!)

How much you want to bet this little Stepford child wins the whole thing? I can see it now. I will have to do something drastic if that happens.

I think she needs to dress like Lacey. Just kidding. But, seriously, this isn't a sorority semi-formal in 1960.

Well, I guess she wasn't horrible but what a mediocrity.

Simon liked Wild Horses -- Shocking!

Actually Katie's been worse and right now she's #2 of the night for me.. not saying much - is it?. lol

When will David Cook arrive to save us?

That's true. I like him okay, it's just that I've been giving him a lot of passes and I was hoping tonight he'd do something that I could actually love, I guess.

7. It.

His rhythm is so bad, the swaybots had to adjust their claps.

Oh, I want to have the iTunes version of this! Not.

But seriously. Wearing a Henley doesn't make you Kris Allen.

Something you should never say to Idol producers... Tim was his sister's doll.

REGGAE VERSION!! For that alone - kinda liked it. I think Tim's just going for it. I like that about him. It didn't really work, but I'd put him right behind Katie for ball's alone.

The sway people -- distracting.

I agree - crazy decision. But, entertaining.

8. Siobhan.

Cape Cod is divided into towns!! Says Siobhan. Um, what else would it be divided into? She's bizarre.

Oh, my God, this is horrendous. Make it stop.

I think a glass in the kitchen just shattered.
