Actually there was someone on one of the idol forums who compiled a post with every single bit of film that AI8 showed on Kris prior to Top 13...it was incredible -- things like him being shown for two seconds. As I think I said before, the show even used a shot of him hugging Katy when he got his gold ticket as footage in a sequence where people were emotionally hugging loved ones because they were being sent home. lol

About Adam and "helium voice," I actually meant I think HE has the helium voice. In other words, what people call a flawed sound mix is just him, in that case.

I think I was talking about two different thiings. The sound mix issues which may be due to his voice being a "glass-shattering" type of big voice, and the so-called helium thing.

And I didn't watch all his videos either.

Wow, I really miss Canadian Idol all of a sudden. Why, I don't know. Weird.

I kind of forgot about Kara and how, suddenly, in the Top 2, she was really basically shilling for Kris. At least part of the night. Wow, that came out of nowhere. That "I hope people vote for the whole season" was a kind of amazing remark as it seemed like she was saying "people should vote for you." Well, my memory is faulty so I don't really know if that's accurate.

ETA: The TWoP Kris thread was shut down yet again.

Oh, yeah, and I think this is kinda weird. The thread on mj's blog that has the Adam videos only has 133 comments. His first performance of many his album songs, the videos have been up all day, and only that many comments? Why did I expect, like, 600 comments, minimum? (The Kris-Allison thread has @ 200. But it is about two different people.)

Would a thread about an Adam "gate" get more comments? I've just noticed lately his threads are not getting the huge numbers they did before. Is it the lack of scandals? Or are the Adam tards moving on already?

Yeah, for no reason either. Same old, person, same old comment, but everyone knows their game so I don't know why they felt the need.. other than maybe they just wanted a break from checking the thread themselves. lol Can't blame them.

I think normal progression - probably a bit of both - maybe everyone is desensitized to the drama. It is interesting though I noticed that too.

Kris is on TV again tonight. Conan again. It's like Kris's week or something.

I'm watching Conan...oh, no...I have to watch that girl from "Precious" again. Turning the sound down...

Things that make you go "hmmm..." I always thought part of the reason the Kris threads only attracted half the comments of the Adam threads was because you can only say, "Kris did an awesome job" and "Kris looked good" so many times. I mean, especially during the tour, when his performances and look were very consistent. But since there was always the daily Adam "gate", and the variations in his look and performances, there was more for his fans to gossip about.

Hey, guys, Kris is going to be laying low a bit, now. I don't know what we're gonna talk about!

I think what did it was the sarcastic (hilarious) reply to the same old person. And then someone commenting on that (sarcastic) person changing their username. It was getting a little fan-warry. People need to ignore that troll.

Also, David Cook's episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will be airing on Jan. 10. So I'm excited for that as well! Well, not THAT excited, but I'm looking forward to it.

According to what I'm reading on mj's blog, in the Rick Dees Top 40 Songs Of the Decade (that show Kris is appearing on with Rick), song #14 is No Boundaries.

Never mind. Now someone else wrote this:
Also, apparently NoBo is #14 on the countdown of HAC #1’s.

So I don't know what they're really saying. But it makes more sense than #14 on the top 40 songs of the decade.

Actually, while wandering through the Chinese website today I watched Kris on Ellen singing No Boundaries, and I'm a little teeny tiny, bit sorry we didn't get to see what he could do with the song after giving it his own spin. It doesn't make sense that they are given this song to sing on finale night and not allowed to change it to suit themselves.

Just wandered over to youtube and Anna Cyzon has a new video, it looks like she's one of the four finalists in the running to compete for Poland in Eurovision (good for her too) And Adam thinks he makes risque videos, lol.


There's a link for Rick Dees - but it's not working for me yet.

Not sure which episode you're referring to, SleepinIn. The first one you liked to above that you mention is an audition episode?

I just (a couple of minutes ago) put that NoBo/Ellen video on here, then I took it down. I don't know why. I just felt like I shouldn't bring it back. The song is a jinx and must not be watched. lol

NoBo #14 on a countdown of HAC#1s? Doesn't really make sense since it certainly never reached #1 on that format.

And I definitely have a love/hate relationship with AI, but it certainly holds my interest. I love the "discovering new talent" part of the show, and for the rest, well I just like to hang out on the knoll to try to understand all of TPTB's manipulations!

And it'll be the return of Idolatry! That alone is enough to be excited about, lol!

She was on Canadian Idol (in a blink or you'll miss it cameo) I don't remember where she fell exactly but it was outside the top 10. She worked for Etalk for awhile afterwards and then MTV, but then decided to go back to music.

I do like the music she's done lately, and I did follow her on Twitter for awhile(but she was a bit nuts.. kept fighting with her boyfriend online) I had to unfollow her. lol

And it'll be the return of Idolatry! That alone is enough to be excited about, lol!

Haha! True, true, now that excites me. (I wonder what would happen, though, if I loved a contestant M. Slezak hated? I would have to revise my whole worldview.)

For some reason I was just thinking about Jacob and that interview, and the things you sometimes have to trade for success. On the forums people are always comparing the business success of people in music, as if that's all life is about. So, in the new year, here's wishing our faves success at life as well as on the charts.

Bringing this over from a post on mj's...

LLWD is #23 on iTunes now! Is that the highest it’s been? I know it got to #23 before but I can’t remember if it got to #22…
and his album is now at #87 (while the deluxe version is back on the chart at #972)

Kris's album has been climbing significantly the past few days.
