I don't really know what Jim heard for sure, but he's mentioned that he's heard 4 songs. One of which Lyndsey didn't mention.

I don't get it. Did he name the songs? How do you know?

LOL, ross, about falling asleep while sitting at your computer. I hope you're feeling OK.

I feel pretty much the same as you about her review. In the end, though, when I hear the CD myself is when I'll make up my mind about it. It's just that, yeah, I like big powerpop choruses as much as the next girl (not always though), but I don't want to hear only that on his album. I hate that they somewhat have to follow these trusted "formulas" for Idol albums. Some variety is good!

Well, I think his fans like him because he's not a typical Idol, and if TPTB put out something typically idol, that his fans won't like much, that's not very smart.

Hey, see what I mean, though? That's Lindsey Parker. She seems to be saying all this positive stuff, but I end up worried. (No, that's not just me being a worried Kris fan, it's her.)

ETA: I cut the part you just quoted, below. Oops.

No, he didn't mention the song names. But he tweeted back to Lyndsey that she didn't mention his favourite song among her 8 songs that she heard. Jim has said previously that he's heard 4 songs of Kris's. So I don't know if the song that Jim loves is on the album or not. Just that he likes it.

Because the end result is: a feeling of uncertainty about what she said, retaher than elation at a positive review.

It's going to be okay. :)

Eh, I just get a vibe from her I don't like. Personally I don't like that she had to say Kris has been fighting TPTB about songs (and how does she know that? I doubt he told her, and I'm sure they didn't, so that leaves who?)...I hate when the buzz about an album (especially an Idol album) becomes all about that. Kris knows that, and that's why he hasn't said anything other than he's been happy with everything. That hint that "he wanted to go his own way, but the label made him record radio friendly stuff" is bad for the rep of the CD.

Truthfully, I think some buzz is good, plus she did a big 30 minute interview with Kris. So that's really good - they re-designed Kris's official site too. It looks much better! The forum still kinda sucks by being hard to read and follow - but, baby steps. There's way more peeps over there today. I made my very first post there last night. lol.

Baby steps are for babies! I want crazy graphics and nudity!

I think the great thing about Kris is that he is so organic and he has that ability to work the songs live. They will ebb and flow around him, it will be good. They will be electric, they will be soothing, they will be funky - depending on the mood and the day.

Yes, but what I really want is a big, cheesy ballad with Kris walking through a disaster area dressed like Keanu Reeves in The Matrix.

LOL!

That interview is nice, SleepinIn. It's funny how Kris has that habit to call everyone "man". Maybe everybody does that though, I don't know!

So, he thought LLWD was "different" at first, but he certainly likes it "now"? That was weirdly phrased, almost like he meant that he didn't like it that much at first.

The Peru thing came from the Indiana paper I posted about David's stint on Extreme makeover: Home edition, I think that's what ross was refering to.

Oops! i missed that I think. I was so excited about actual album news. I'll go back and check it out.

I thought that was interesting too. I didn't take it that he didn't like it though, just that is was different from all of the other songs that they were listening to from the song submissions. Although it might actually be the case that he didn't like it at first. I don't know.. lol

Someone at MJ's said they heard from someone else that received a Dm from Jim that the song he's referring to hasn't been mentioned anywhere else. There are still lots of surprises to comes I guess.

I kind of have this habit, myself. I don't know what they do in Montreal. It's very common here. Also, dude.

Well, I spend 90% of my time in the French language, so that's why maybe I've never noticed it as much. Also, I'm not a guy.
