That's really interesting. Jacob is the reason I've never found Adam very rebellious in regards to Idol-land. Not that being rebellious is all that and a bag of chips, but Adam was given that label. And Jacob was much better at shocking people. Actually he still is.

Although the naked girl pictures were a little shocking.. but only because it was a naked girl.

That's really interesting. First of all, Jacob is the reason I've never found Adam very rebellious in regards to Idol-land. Not that being rebellious is all that and a bag of chips, but Adam was given that label. And Jacob was much better at shocking people. Actually he still is.

We've been spoiled. :)

Someone on mj's responded to my post (I'm paraphrasing): I suppose you also think roller coasters are boring. See, I'm totally surprised people see Adam as the ultimate in thrills and excitement.

In Idol Land, what did Adam do that was rebellious? Wear black nail polish? Dye his hair? (Hey, who hasn't? ;-)) I don't consider a guy who kisses Paula Abdul's hand in his audition to be any kind of rebel.

The thing about Jacob is he's real. I mean, he may be complicated, and not always on the level, but he's real in the sense that on or offstage he's the same crazy guy. Adam isn't. I don't hold that against him, but I don't especially want to see an act, I guess. (Also, Jacob's a songwriter, and even though his songs make no sense to me, sometimes, they're really compelling to me because he's writing from the heart and the gut. He reaches me on that level.)

Like Adam said to Slezak, he's a businessman. I think he's studied Madonna and others, and he knows what works to sell yourself these days. And he has no problem doing that. But I don't tend to make more of it than that.

So, anyway, that song is really cheesy, but the songwriter or the songwriter's wife had a terminal illness, and the song is about that, so we are not allowed to say it's cheesy, now. Just letting you know.

(Hey, who hasn't?)

Me! I know all girls say that their hair color is natural, but mine truly is. I'll dye it when I have grey in my hair!

And I discovered tonight that I was not a mosh pit girl. I just came back from Metric's concert (with The Stills). When The Stills were playing, the crowd looked almost bored. I really like them, so I was happy to see them live, but the crowd wasn't that enthusiastic.

But, when Metric came out, it got crazy. Lots of 18-20 year olds started pushing people to go to the front and some were extremely rude. A girl near started crying because she received an elbow or something in her face. Some kids were bodysurfing, thankfully they didn't come near me. We were so close to one another in that crowd, it wasn't that pleasant. I was with two friends, who are both 5' 3'' and they couldn't see that much. One even left halfway through the show to go at the back of the room.

I seem to be complaining, but the show was awesome. I just don't think I could enjoy it fully in the middle of that crowd. We almost regretted not going to the balcony. But the show itself was great! Emily Haines is a force to be reckoned with. She seems a bit cold at first glance, but she's explosive and magnetic. And I wasn't expecting her voice to be that strong. She has an impressive voice, definitely not usual.

And, gosh, the sound was loud!! My ears are buzzing so bad right now.

Well, my streak of 5 shows in a month / 4 shows in two weeks is over. What a ride it's been!

Metric. I love them. I would draw little hearts around their name. They are my only other pre-release cd buy this year. I'm contemplating Tegan and Sara though. :)

I would not be a happy mosh pit person either.

Cheese is cheese. It's going to be a great big hit song all over the world. (They can console themselves with that and the money it will make) But it's still cheese.

Speaking of the mosh pit, tonight I was supposed to go with some friends to see AFI and Gallows at the Hampton Beach Casino (in New Hampshire). But I have this foot thing going on. Not that I like either of these bands, but I was just going to go. Get out, see a bit of the world.

What was your favorite?

I dyed mine a couple of times.

What was your favorite?

Well, you know... that guy called David Cook. And his anthemic band. The show in Montréal, October 2nd. The whole evening was a dream. It literally filled my heart with pure joy.

lol "Paula spilled something on herself *shrug* - who knows?"

If Paula hadn't spilled something on herself, Kris wouldn't have relaxed because he wouldn't have peed with Simon and Randy. In fact he wouldn't have peed. Then he would have failed, and Adam Lambert would be the Idol. Or maybe Danny Gokey. Or Jorge.

The sound on that video was awesome. See how good he sounds live?!! That was one of the few videos that captured it well. You hear all the nuances in his voice and phrasing and all.

(HA! Once again I meant Kris.)

Thank you Paula.

I know, right? Maybe her ice shifted. :)

We are awesome all the time. lol

This was so cool, wasn't it? I meant to acknowledge this yesterday. The way he said that. He's awesome.

I am amazed (not. Really, I should not be) that some of the people who called the lyrics to LLWD "cheesy" and "trite" loooove TFM.

HAA! That certain poster on that certain blog has suddenly started calling Adam "Mr. Lambert" (!) He refers to Kris either as "the Idol winner" or "the kid who won Idol."

:dink:

Hee! I thought so too. Snarky, but not mean. Also with the peeing .. killed me.

This is why I'm not too worried about their opinions. Clearly there is a big wide gap in our musical tastes. ;)

So I got my email alert from Buffalo, they're playing the song twice today. (1:42, 5:41) So far anyway, the alerts only seem to go up to the 5 o'clock hour at the moment.

And I looked at the plays and Kris has 4 spins at the Rythmic station, 1 at Active Rock then Pop and HAC make up the remainder.

I find the Active Rock and the Rhythmic spins (though still only 5 spins) really interesting since it's been hard for Idols to get played outside of HAC and Pop (at least I think it has been)

SleepinIn, can you tell me what kind of music is played on an Active Rock station, and what kind is played on Rhythmic? Because I dont' know. Thanks.

Um, forgive me for being human but the gloating about how many magazine covers Adam has been on (a whopping three or four in six months or so) is sooo annoying. I don't know how many magazine covers some of my favorite artists have been on (none, I guess), so what does it matter.

Mr. Lambert (j/k) is more of a Hollywood type anyway.
