Hey, wouldn't it be awful if Kris dressed like that all the time? Think about it.

He usually looks great, in his slightly scene, slightly indie, twentysomething way. The only time he looks bad is when he wears those cotourier clothes. I don't really like what Katie's wearing, either. These are two really good lookng people. But they don't pull off dressing up, very well. Yeah, they suit the casual gear the best. Gotta admit. I know who you mean but I can't remember his name (style person)

I liked the Truth, didn't love that they didn't have the mics working right and Ryan was talking over it, There were bits that didn't completely hit right. Overall not bad, though. I love when the band rocks out even more though so a TV performance is never as fun as say the Kiss show. They seemed to have changed the song somehow too.

I think they over pimped Crystal at the beginning (she was really good but they went overboard.. as they do) and then they realized there was zero competition for her.. so they started to overpimp Lee.. and then.. Crystal actually did falter.. and then Lee's a boy.. and he's very commercial sounding.. Boom Lee wins.

I just wanted to ask (this is from the previous page or two), when did Crystal falter?
I didn't think she did, at all. I just think she was told she was fatering. I honestly didn't see it.

I just watched TT again and I liked it even more. Kris was really very into it, and he was enjoying it. They make the sound very "smooth" on Idol and you don't really get a sense of a live performance because you can't hear the audience - unlike concert vids -- but I thought he sounded great, he has such an amazing "live" voice.

And missaddicted, you liked it, right?

I noticed this time (2nd time watching) that the last group of people they showed were standing for Kris at the end. The audience menbers were cheering (and smiling) a lot at the end. And they clapped along with the song (something I almost never like, unless it's a clap-along type of song. But at least it shows they were into it). I read on MJ's blog -- one of the sockpuppets, I think -- that there wasn't a great audience response. So I watched for it, more, this time. It was very good.

I liked it... for The Truth. Which I still found iffy. I just don't like that they cut the chorus before the bridge (so the song would be shorter I would guess), the transition was weird. But Kris did great.

(Yes, electricity came back in the middle of the night.)

I just watched Lee's winning moment thanks to MJ's videos. It made me "awww" a bit I admit, I love those happy moments. I bought and listened to Beautiful Day. It's not as bad as I thought last night, but it's not great either.

I thought Crystal lost a little momentum in the middle, I don't know if it was song choice or something else but she didn't seem as comfortable or something. She was still pretty consistently good just but she didn't get the judges praise that Lee started to get.

I think I wrote, a while back, that she showed us her bag of tricks and that was it, so I guess I was bored. But I didn't think she was bad, in fact on the week the judges said she was weak, she was excellent. She just did a smaller-scale arrangement of a lighter song. The judges have no taste. Though I think she could have sung America The Beautiful dressed as the Statue Of Liberty, while tap dancing, chewing gum, and balancing a glass of water on her forehead, that week, and they would have said she was boring. Maybe? Because I thought she was just being de-pimped. I could be wrong, though. I admit I never paid close attention to anything this season.

I know this has been said a lot, but last night I thought again: what is with Simon's hair? The man is a zillionaire. What is with the Dagwood haircut?

How did Siobhan meet Hanson? Were they on the show? I didn't pay a lot of attention last night. I was doing other stuff. Glad your elecricity came back. What was the cause? Everyone in this area missed Kris completely. Thanks, Fox! (The person from the cable company told me it was a network broadcasting problem, not cable related.)

Kris is ahead in that poll, but there have only been @ 60 votes cast so far. (Did you guys see that Archie won "favorite Idol of all time" or whatever it was? Thank goodness there are rabid Archie fans to beat the rabid Glamberts occasionally. :) )

Apparently all of Kris's tour merch sold out at his Kiss concert before he even performed. I was wondering -- how much of that money does he get?

Did you guys watch that Fox25 "Idol guy"? Do you find him as annoying as I do?

The Truth didn't seem to get a great bump on iTunes. It's #75 on pop, and it's not on the overall chart. It hasn't really hit radio yet in any big way, though. :(

yeah, it would've gotten a bigger bump if it had been on radio for awhile I think..but anyway...radio ... video ...tour. They should have made time to make a video.

so Crystal's guy left her the day of the finale...that kinda sucks. She said it was mutual.. still sucks.

As far as I am concerned Lee never did have the momentum. He couldn't hold a tune in a wet paper bag...

Well, the judges really forced Lee's momentum that's for sure, but he does sound really good in the studio versions. I have to give him that, live on the Idol stage it was an up and down mess but I do like his recorded voice.

Oh, they already announced where Lee and Crystal will be signed. Lee to RCA and Crystal to Jive. Interesting... Well, mostly for Crystal, I already thought Jive was a weird fit for Kris and it's even weirder for Crystal.

Listening to the 1st radio interview. So how angry are the Glamberts that Kris was on that Forbes list? I haven't felt like venturing into the muck of MJ's blog since I read some crap there last night, and even worse when I skimmed it for half a minute this morning.

Now I'm listening to the 2nd interview.

So should I be worried about The Truth? I'm not concerned about rushing a video out. I figure it'll happen. I don't think I need to worry about the song, as it seems to be building steadily on radio. And then it should sell well. Right? Right?!

Kris-Crystal duet? Doesn't interest me a whole lot. To be honest, Lee and Crystal were never my favorites this season so I'm kinda glad the whole thing is over.

I felt Crystal was the one who deserved to win, but I mostly found listening to her somewhat less than a 100% real pleasure. I liked her, but I wasn't crazy about her. Lee, well, you know how I feel about that. As to studio recordings, if the guy puts out hit records, the crowds are going to be a bit disappointed when they go to hear him sing live. All I can say is he's the luckiest SOB in the world to have been on the weakest season of American Idol.

TMZ has learned … one of the key players who made “American ldol” a success was so pissed last night after the show, he chewed out “A.I.” producers backstage.
Rickey Minor — who has been the bandleader for 6 seasons — is leaving A.I. to head up Jay Leno’s band on “The Tonight Show.”
Minor was fit to be tied after no one thanked him or wished him well — hell, they didn’t even acknowledge him during last night’s finale.
Our A.I. spies tell us … when the show was over Minor went off on producers, angrily telling them how insulted he was by their silent dis.

You didn't post Lee's interview and performance? :wink: Lee once again was way better on Ellen's stage than on Idol. Crystal was amazing as well.

I guess Kris fans have hit the wall. Adam comparisions.. then Lee comparisions.. oh, hell no. LOL

Hedley are in Africa with Free the Children so they were given money to bargain for a goat for a family and then had to transport it back to the village for a local family. It's for Craig Keilburger's Free the Children charity that Hedley played at last year. Me to We Day. Craig's a pretty cool guy and it's his pictures I was posting. He started this charity like 15 years ago when he was a teenager.
