That Lisa Ling/Oprah interview with Kris and Allsion was fascinating. Haha. Allison still does that weird thing where it sounds like she's mocking or making fun of everything the other person is talking about seriously. It's just her way, but I remember the first time she did that. Everyone was like, "WTF?" It's something that makes her Allison, but you can see how it was slightly disconcerting to the interviewer.

I wish they had showed them singing. Shown them? Whatever.

Yeha, I thought that was funny too. When Allison gets nervous she makes funny voices up. lol

And seriously, they should have shown them singing.

I have tried to like Glee but it's just not my style, either. I guess I'm with Alex and Siobhan on that one.

Can I just say it's not an accident that all the duets that Kris has done lately have been awesome.

Aw, hometown Pride for Siobahn. Guess she doesn't have to be afraid to go home afterall.

Is Danny's album really called "My Best Days Are Behind Me," as that article says?? I'm pretty sure it's "My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me." lol

About Kris not selling his album on QVC...I assume there are legal/rights issues, or maybe his management don't think it's necessary. I hope he remembers to say it's for sale, anyhow. But I don't care. He's going to sing live, which is pretty cool. (I can't picture him promoting Idol merch -- or any merch -- with any great enthusiasm, though. Ha.)

Album sales. Even before Kris said what he said to that interviewer about the relative unimportance of album sales these days vs. hit singles, thre were various hints. For one, the way RCA was/is desperate to get Adam a hit single, despite his better album sales. Also, the way Jive focused so much of their energies on promoting LLWD, rather than KATA. They got about the results they expected, I think. I don't think this stuff just happens randomly. And in spite of the "concern" of many posters on MJ's blog, I'm much more interested in how Kris does as a singles seller right now, so I hope The Truth does all right.

I liked Siobhan on IICD. I just was too tired/bored to watch any more. I was actually only listening to it, because I was looking at other stuff at the same time (well, I looked at it occasionally).

Yeah, that was nice.

Siobahn has a good voice, but she doesn't really know what to do with it. She goes for the big notes ALL THE TIME sometimes at the expense of the rest of the song, so her performance becomes really unbalanced.

The tour will be good for her.
