OMG that Bieber video, lol. I had to stop it. I was feeling dirty looking at Bieber's "sexy" poses and and it left me with an urge to get the hair out of his face.

Also, I don't want BIB to forever be associated with Bieber in my mind, lol!

^Just one of the many "country-influenced" songs on Kris's album, apparently. (I just got back from enduring yet another "Kris should go country" discussion on the blog of MJ. "His album sounds country" etc. What are you smoking, people?!!!

By the way, missaddicted, I agree, I thought Kris sounded a little different on the AOL sessions. I don't know why.

YES! Bring it Back.. but man I'd kill for I Need to Know. That might be my favourite of the whole album.

Jonas Brothers. Egad! If this happens maybe they can tour overseas with them..or somewhere far away - lol I don't know about this tour idea. I can't see myself in a sea of Jobros fans either :/

There would be positives though. They'd have a younger audience and they grow up..eventually.

But really? Not my first or second choice. I'd sort of prefer them touring with Boyce Avenue and I'd never heard of them before.

Let's brainstorm tours.. maybe someone will read this and free us from Jonas.

Hitz Interview if you want it. I left Apologize and Lifetime in but took out LLWD since they played it 20x - lol The games were funny. Who was the drummer on BNS??? Do people know this?

DeeshrafEl

I don't know about this, if it's always a positive thing. Like my cousin's daughter who just had to see the Backstreet Boys one year. Like, would not be able to live without seeing the Backstreet Boys. And a couple of years later, wouldn't be seen near a Backstreet Boys concert.

He could tour with The Script!

(Kidding. Well, kind of. It would a billion percent (tm Randy) better than the JoBros. And I'd actually pay for that.)

Who was the drummer on BNS??? Do people know this?

Per Wikipedia:

Kris Allen's musical career began in 2007, when he wrote and self-produced an album entitled Brand New Shoes with college friends and bandmates Michael Holmes (drums) and Chase Erwin (bass).[2] 600 copies were given to friends and family. Songs from the album were widely distributed online during his time on Idol'."

Yeah, that's a good point. I was a huge BSB fan back in the day. First band I loved. They were my Bieber. Can't say I've been following their career in the last 8-9 years though. Then, I found Hanson when I was 14 and I'm still a fan to this day, even if they have a lower profile now, they're still making music and touring for a living. And hey, Katy is a fan as well (per one of her tweets today). So, you can stay loyal to bands you love in your teenage years, but it doesn't happen that much I think.

And then 20 years later she'll be remembering her love for the BSB and going to concerts again. I don't think we have that time to waste really. 20 years is too long. You're right.

Plus Jonas(3) are on the way out. Beiber is rising.

Can' say I've been following their career in the last 8-9 years.

Give it another 10 years.. kidding.. lol

LOL. I wrote my previous post, then I saw your post and I thought that BSB came to Montréal a couple of years ago and a friend and I almost went (but didn't, only awful tickets were left)... for old times sake. Not sure that's the kind of fans they really want, even though, it must be those that they attract right now. Nostalgia is strong!

It's been a long time since I heard his version of "Apologize." That was the live version? It was awesome. That voice is so gorgeous, holy crap.

Lifetime is a good song, it's that overblown arrangement that doesn't work. I'm listening to it now, it's really making me grit my teeth. Very jangly. You know what I mean by jangly? lol

It's the one from the show right? And I agree - it sounded great on the radio.

and Lifetime is my least favourite Kris song. But I kinda liked hearing it on the Radio. Although it might have been the shock of actually hearing it on the radio that made it so sweet.

I honestly haven't listened to Lifetime in ages. It comes up on my iPod and my finger still automatically goes for the skip button. I guess I should listen to it again...

ETA: Okay, listening to it now and nope, I still don't like it.

My big confession is that I'm not all that crazy about "Is It Over." Don't hate it, but I don't really get why people go nuts over it, either. I like it; I don't go mental over it, though.

I don't get the scorning of Lifetime, though, it's just about as good as any other ballad on the album and the lyrics are some of the best on the album. I don't really love it, either, but I don't hate it. Of course, it's not a love song, unlike most of the other songs.

That girl in the radio interview was a real fan, huh? That's so cool.

You know, truthfully the CD version is probably down at the bottom of my list, but there's just something about Kris playing that live and then the guys jamming on it that I really kind of love. It just takes it up to another level for me.

Yeah, it's definitly better live. I still love most of the album, anyhow, and there's not any song on it I don't think is a good song. Nothing cringe-worthy at all.

Also, The Truth has grown on me totally (even though I think it's on the cheesy side, and I don't think Kris would ever have written a melody like that. It's a clever pop song, though, and it's catchy)-- as has Before We Come Undone, which I find myself singing all the time, now.

I think in the end, it's all a matter of taste. Lifetime doesn't appeal to me at all and I don't like the lyrics. So, I'm not scorning it, I just don't like it. About Is It Over, I'm not crazy about the recorded version, but the version from the manila show was crazy good, I thought! And, you're not wild about BWCU, while I can listen to it on repeat, I just love that one. So, I don't think there's any big conspiracy about Lifetime, for me it just sounds like a filler song. I might have a problem with Jon Foreman though! Well, his music! Switchfoot doesn't appeal to me at all, while Kris seems to love them and Jon Foreman in particular.

ETA: Oh, I take back what I said about your opinion of BWCU!

Yeah, I don't get Kris's Switchfoot thing either. *shakes head*

LLWD is #16 on Itunes, but is up one slot on pop, to #11. Top ten on iTunes pop would be nice.

I'm not scorning it, I just don't like it.

I didn't mean you, missaddicted, I meant the general dislike of the song I've read about on the boards.

I kind of like Jon Foreman and Switchfoot. As for Lifetime, I think I said this before, but I think it's a "guy's song" and would appeal more to a guy. It's partly about how we don't really show what's really going on inside. Also about...oh, well, I really can't explain it.
