They sounded good! But you're right the band seemed muted or something. Hella better than the Wonder Girls though, who are they?? lol

So LLWD is about #31 on iTunes overall, #19 on iTunes pop. Not too shabby!

They are awesome! Kris's Mom even tweeted MJ's video of Kris singing the Christmas song. I downloaded them all and put them on my ipod. :) So if you want them, let me know. The Hamdon / Hartford ones are good too, although I haven't watched all of them yet.


*Have you noticed how hard it is to find his videos, though? I have to put "kris allen" in quotes, now. There are too many kris's and and allen's out there.

I know, right? It was awesome. I want it to come back, surely a rockstar must have more than one regret in his life? ;)

I thought Ellen had the best sound too. Although, The Bonnie Hunt wasn't too bad. Here's Hoping Letterman will have good sound.

SYTYCD was great promo for Kris. Lots of crossover Idol audience.

Why does Kris Allne pop right up??

That shirt is not the one he wore, he wore an olive green shirt. He must have some kind of deal --- free clothes, all he has to do is wear them to publicize them? -- with Comme des Garcons. The jacket he wore in the Slezak interview was Comme des Garcons. Probably really expensive.

The album (and possibly the single? I don't know) got a big boost from that little SYTYCD appearance. I'm assuming most of the Idol fans have bought it, so these must be SYTYCD fans buying it? I'm impressed that after hearing one song, people are enthused and go to iTunes and buy the album immediately.

When did Sebastian's voice get so good? Wait, now I'm listening more and it's not so great. But it's not bad!

By the way, once again I feel kind of bad for Oliver. Overshadowed a bit by Sebastian once more.

I think he sounds really good on Alien. :) I think it might be the less is more thing. On Idol, he seemed to try to do a lot with his performances - more performance than singer. IMHO anyway. When he just stands and sings, it works best for me. (maybe the actor in him)

I bought the Pigott brothers version of Alien, (I prefer the Being Erica version... shhhhh!!!) And I think they're both probably thrilled to have a song they wrote play worldwide. I'm proud of them, good job guys. And not only played but Sebastian gets to sing it on the show. Such a great opportunity for them.

Yes, that's what I think as well. Yes, Oliver is a bit overshadowed, but I think Sebastian was always more of an actor than a singer and he got a golden opportunity with Being Erica. It's just awesome that the producers accepted to feature twice a song that they actually wrote.

I have to go buy it. I listened to the duet and I actually really like it. Maybe because I tend to prefer Oliver's voice. I don't know why it was not put on iTunes. (I just saw that the remastered version is now on iTunes, finally!)

Found this online. Little video interview with Kris after SYTYCD (stubble? why?) ... you can vote in the poll for your choice for the next single. I did, and my choice is... winning big right now.

Apparently voting for People's Choice is closed? I tried last night and couldn't. I don't think Kris really stands a chance on that one, but, hey, I did vote a lot. As for VH1, we...must...keep...voting...

And yeah I think it's great for Oliver that his and Sebastian's song is getting attention (as well as their recording). But I think you guys must have known what I meant, right?

First, Sebastian, not Ollie, got into the Top Ten of CI, and got a lot of national attention Ollie didn't. He was then able to parlay that into this Being Erica gig, where once again, as on CI, he's getting attention for his singing (despite his not really being much of a singer)...as well as his acting, of course.

I guess it's just me, but I find that ironic, since his brother, who isn't getting a whole lot of attention for his singing, is the better singer. (lol, did I spell that out enough?) It's true, though, that a rising tide usually lifts all boats. If one member of the family is hitting it big right now, maybe it's also a great "in" and an opportunity for Ollie. And he did say he was also trying acting, as well as singing/songwriting, himself, didn't he?

I voted in the poll. Both songs are neck and neck right now. (What did they suggest to him during the interview, I can't really watch right now?). I voted for AWM, but I don't think BWCU is a snoozer! I love it and I've read a lot of favorable opinions on that one, so I'm not surprised it's also a popular choice.

I understood what you meant about Oliver and Sebastian, but it's not really Sebastian's fault. He got a great opportunity and it's just a bonus that THEIR song was actually featured on the show. The producers could have chosen to feature somebody else's song. I agree with you that Oliver is a better singer, but I'm sure he's proud of his brother and Sebastian was not going to refuse appearing on Being Erica!

In any case, Oliver was signed by Jake's management company, they must have plans for him! And while I like their music, it's not really the hottest thing ever either, so I'm not necessarily surprised that as musicians, they're not that successful yet.

We now have our own SuBo here in Québec. Maxime Landry, the winner of the latest season of Star Académie sold 42,000 copies of his CD in his first week (Canadian Gold certification in a week!). It boggles my mind that he sold half the number of albums Kris sold in his first week... to a population that's 40 times smaller!

And bleh, they're really playing FYE on my radio station. Hope I won't hear it for too long...

And the song was written on the sticker on DCTR. Still, the fact that he wasn't playing it made it surprising for the fans that it was released as a single. The thing is, Jive would be smart to avoid releasing WAOMF because of the Script connection, so I hope they understand that and go for something else. (And I hope it's not The Truth either, even if it's written on the sticker, because I still can't get into that song.)

Anyhow, the sticker doesn't necessarily predict anything, but history (especially with the Idol folks) shows that it's often a good indication...

For the single I'd vote AWM. I love, WAOMF but I hope they don't go with another song written by the Script, mainly because of the flack that Kris took for it initially, and also that some of his own songs are so good. AWM is really a stand-out on the album and I think it would do great on radio. I also like the live version much better of WAOMF, the recorded version doesn't have the same energy and actually I think the same of CSA, although it wouldn't be the only time that they've released a radio edit of a single. They could record another version of CSA with the band to release to radio.... I'd buy it. lol.

Aside from AWM, I know you don't like the Truth missaddicted, but I'm all over that one, lol. I think it's a straight up hit song. BWCU, I love the beginning and the end, but the middle loses steam for me. Maybe I need to hear it live again. Test drive it so to speak.

Bring it Back could be good as a single. Red Guitar.. hmmm. so many choices.

They do a lot of marketing studies to determine singles as well as what songs to include on records, I believe. It's possible those two songs were the standouts in those studies. But, who knows? Where David Cook and past Idols are concerned, I don't know if you can always predict the future based on the past. You have to think record companies wouldn't keep keep making the same mistakes over and over.
